Where was this? Chris is so smooth out there. Willing to help anyone with questions or stop what he's doing to help anyone at the track. Good dude right there!
ive never seen 1/5 scalers fly so beautifully through the air! These cars are setup awesome! I mean they are jumping like 1/10 buggys! Look at these HUGE 1/5's sail over that tripple! Like that aint a small jump ... and they just soak it up! Big scale looks so more realistic!
Awesome race. I can't believe how skilled the drivers are and how well the trucks preformed. The best part was the 2 leaders battling it out and clearing the triple at the same time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love 5th racing. man I cant get enough of this shit. Where is this track? I am in Pittsbugh and having a hard time finding 5th scale tracks to run at?
As big as those trucks are, I can't believe they have corner marshals actually out on the track! I have been told that in 1/4 scale racing, if a wreck occurs it is like a full scale race. They stop the race, go out and straighten the carnage and then do a green flag restart. Maybe times have changed. At least I would want baseball catcher's gear (shin guards, face mask, etc). Those big trucks can hurt you!
For off-road, the likelihood of a wreck is high enough that if they stopped the race every time someone wrecked, the race would never actually end. They kinda have to take the risk.
@@hinsie4268 There's kinda more than just two brands, but most of them are 1/5th scale specialists that aren't very well known outside their niche. Brands like MCD Racing and FG Modelsport.
@@chucksprinkle1328 Eh, you're mainly going to see those kinds of prices for the top-end touring cars and 1/4th scale oval platforms. You're looking more at around $1500-3000 for these off-road vehicles, and maybe another $500 or so in upgrades.
Price (although you could potentially spend as much on a full-on race car in the smaller classes), size (most tracks are too small for them and you need quite a bit of space to bash them as well) and noise (arguably also a selling point, but your neighbors will hate them).
My race truck runs with 40wt shock oil all the way around on 2.1x4 pistons. Red truck springs front and rear. Diff fluids are 10k front, 15k center, 5k rear
This is at the Adelanto Stadium, in Adelanto California. This race is held during the same time as the Adelanto Grand Prix. The track is run once a year.
The old ones used to feel really slow. The newer ones still feel floaty (almost like a full-size car) but they're a lot more lively in terms of throttle response and acceleration.
if you removed the people and other out of scale stuff it woule look very much like reallife trucks. in 1/10 and 1/8 you can still kinda see the out of scale physics.
Finally, a 1/5 scale race with good drivers, a proper track, and doesnt look like a crash up derby
If this doesn’t put a smile on your face, I love racing, anything with a engine is just awesome. Adrenaline for days.

Best 1/5 track I’ve seen yet. And some of the best driving in 1/5 I’ve seen as well.
We need more of this 1/5th scale dirt action!
Beautiful track and impressed with the drivers' skill! Very few wrecks with all those complex jumps! Good camera work too! Good view of the action.
This track makes these look like 1/10 scales. Insane 😲🤟🏿
Watching those trucks fly through the jumps really gives me a supercross vibe

One of the best 1/5 scale races I LOVE THIS SHIT
Wow, that triple is awesome!!! amazing control bruv!!
Really great racing, I wish I lived where this is an every weekend thing, I love it.
Everyone is driving so well, this is so cool. It must feel so satisfying sending these huge trucks! They are beasts!

Agreed, where is this?
Chique 😊
Nice models! But they use gas engine don't?
where was this race ?
Where's this track at!
Nice
Would a Kraken 5 TT be able to pull something like this off?
I honestly don't know. I have never driving one of the Kraken TT's.
I have an 8th scale buggy, and these things are so fucking cool!
What size engine are they running?
My race truck runs a Bartolone 34cc reedcase with Bartolone pipe. I run the same engine, but 32cc in my buggy
These aren’t nitro engines, they’re gasoline! These are not nitro vehicles
id race one of these
What gearing are they using on that track
Most guys probably ran 19/62 or 18/62

Why are these trucks not popular?
Most of them trucks are $4000to$5000
They're expensive, only like 2 brands make them, and there arnt allot of brands making stuff for them like tires, motors, ect.

@@chrishiga3667 thanks for the tips.. I'll try that setup on my truck...
Man, talk about snazzy driving skills! This is not like the usual videos I watch where the dudes got a $8000 setup but can't drive for dick
What size engines are in these 29cc or 35
I run a 34cc Bartolone racing reedcase engine. Most of the guys in this class will either run a 30.5, 32 or 34cc reedcase engine.

What's everyone running? Losi 5ive?
Everyone is running a Losi 5IVE-T
Wouldn't be surprised if there's a couple MCDs among them, but most of those are going to be Losis.

Front-right is too heavy. Balance in the air is bad 🤔
I don’t like 1/5 scales they’re too big and heavy and I feel like it makes them slower I’m fine with 1/10 and 1/8 buggy and truggy
