I'm having to unlearn somethings from my upbringing because that advice doesn't work today. Like your husband, my husband helps my sorority sisters, an upstanding member in the community and with his fraternity. I have a good man and your advice is helping me and others appreciate the good men we have. He has been my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I could not accomplish half of what I do each day without him. Thanks sis! Much love.

      @@LynnRichardson I did read and I did listen. Women who take care of men are not that happy either shouldering all that responsibility nor are they living in harmony and peace. If assuming the man's role to provide is your thing then OK but don't try to put down other women because they won't take care of a man to him. He needs to bring something to the table instead living off the woman. Too many women are crippling these men. Women who take care of these men don't know where he is half the time either. The bible clearly states he is supposed to provide and protect. Either you believe in the bible or you don't. it is a sin to add to it or take away. It's OK if you settle for taking care of a man but don't put down women who won't compromise.

      @@--99 yes the man needs to bring something, and the lady in this video believes that. Shes just saying that the man making less shouldnt matter. His qualities, morals, and character are what truly matter. You are describing a bad man, regardless of income.
      And 1 Timothy 5:8 is for all believers. Not just men. The use of male pronouns is common throughout the bible. For example, hoses 4:6 says "my men perish for lack of knowledge...." Some translations now say "my people" to include women but it's always been believed that its talking about everyone.

      That’s your problem, why are you looking for a financially fit woman. You as a man
      Should be financially fit and then it wouldn’t matter about her. You have to pay bills and live with or without a woman anyhow so it should not matter if she has money. Men of power don’t usually count a woman’s bank acct because they know she brings worth in ways that a man can’t with companionship, baring children, being supportive/loving/faithful, etc. Think about changing your mind set, I promise it will change your life.

Just like the abuses with very rich men. Provision and Protection is a lot more than simply physical needs. That relationship balance is very personal and spiritual. • @TheDaniMilan
    @TheDaniMilan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I honestly feel as though it depends on the dynamic of the relationship and the person you’re marrying. A lottt of men are very ego driven and would not accept a woman making more than her. It’s not solely abt the money but what the money provides. If a woman is making $100,000 and their husband making Half of that AND he is a practical man, he will think to himself, “i won’t be able to provide for her the way her money can.” It doesn’t matter to a man if she would be ok with his lack of money in comparison to hers. Men most of them - are t thinking of that. They’re thinking of the fact that he wouldn’t be able to
    Now this is an ego driven man, which are very prevalent in Every culture
    That being said, it depends on the maturity of both parties. The woman may feel uncomfortable too bc she’s taught a man is to provide and that’s in biblical times
    But as NOWADAYS Christians we seem to toddle the fence. We wanted to have the right to make our own money but get mad if they can’t provide as much as we can for our family. It’s not a two way sword.

    Where in the Bible does it say about the woman working in about the woman probably make more money than the man number one. The Proverbs 31 Woman. She owned a Vineyard so she sold everything off that Vineyard you made the clothes for the family and for others. The merchants knew her when they came to the C's because she sold to them as well. She was a working woman and possibly made more than her husband because she had three jobs and he only had one. And Judges chapter 4 Deborah. She was one of the only judges mentioned in the bible doing the full work of a judge and also save the life from the Canaanite oppressors.

  • @joycewatt800
    @joycewatt800 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    IF you are a student of the Bible, a doer and not a hearer ONLY then you know that NO WHERE in the Bible does God say the husband is ONLY to be the head of the wife IF he makes more money than she does. Adam was already working so by the time Eve came on the scene Adam would by right have had more or made more BUT even if Eve went back to school and got 3 more degrees and made more than Adam God would not have changed His mind and said ‘ok since Eve making $10,000 more a year than you Adam she gone now be the head.’ Let’s keep it real. Marriage is not about money and if and when it becomes ONLY about money then is it really a marriage by God’s standard. So if we gone use the good Book as our standard then it’s ALL of the book not part of the book. Think about all of the men in the Bible where it was clearly God who blessed them with wealth, do you think the women/wives were debating about who had the most money in the house?
