Hello, just to let you know after watching this video I decided to buy the same size of pool that you have for my family. I noticed that you used chlorine tablet for your pool and a filter. My questions are how many chlorine tablet should I put in the dispenser and where will i put the extra filter (the one you posted in your video) coz I have the pump that comes with it that has a filter already?
I use 2 to 3 one inch chlorine tablet and it last about 5 days. Are you referring to the long filter? If so, it is just a filter I use for my gardenhose to filter my water as I fill up the pool. You don't really need it if you have clean city water.
Do you mean the plastic gray screen that covers the inlet valves? The screen itself should stop the hair from getting sucked into the inlet so just grab the hair and toss it out. I don't experience any problem with hair accumulating in the valves but of course my boys and I have short hair and my daughter and wife always tie their hair when they jump in the pool. The plastic gray screen have 2 screw that holds it in place. I am not sure why Bestway did that because it also have a thread that will hold it in place. I removed the screws on mine and never put it back. Maybe you can do that so you can easily open the screen to clean any hair that accumulated in it. Let me know if it works.
You are very much welcome. it's the end of pool season now so in a few days I will upload a video on how the synthetic turf will look like once I removed the pool.
And I have 2x rocket stoves hooked up to 2x house Central heating radiators in Series over the fires the water coming out of the pipe is hot enough to burn if u keep your hand there for more than a few sec the test with one radiator and 1 fire pit the 2700 L water tank went from 8゚ to 35゚in 30 min
What is the full dimensions of the pool supports the pool itself advertise 14 by 8’ 2” will it fit on a 10 foot wide concrete pad? Support, legs and all. The surface I am planning on putting this size pool is exactly 10 feet wide by 14 feet long
The answer to that question is 14 x 9 1/2. I covered the pool measurement in this video: th-cam.com/video/2kHbzfJak6A/w-d-xo.html My grass area is exactly 12 ft. wide and you can see the space I have to the front. The foot in the back is around 6 to 8 inches away from the wall. With a 10 ft. pad you need to make sure you are centered properly before you add the water and I suggest that you check the center from the center of the curb side because you need to make adjustment to the side support as you fill it up with water. Hope this helps.
VG video, have seen others and not as good. The bestway manuals are just terrible. I have the 14x8 ft version. What are the black rubber plugs used for ( if you have the papers, its on Pg 6, middle of the page, Owners manual) Do you plug the 3 filter caps into their respective ABB holes, and tighten them. Tks in advance
They are just there to plug the holes when needed (i.e. fixing holes or replacing filters). I just made a video using those plugs to replace the hoses in my pool while preventing water loss. th-cam.com/video/_bd028r3zRw/w-d-xo.html But you don't need it to replace filter, you can simply lift the filter up as shown in my other video to save time. th-cam.com/video/UuIVgEXZ35c/w-d-xo.html Hope this help.
No. You won't feel the suction just the return. Maybe if you remove the screen and cover the 2 suction hole with your hands you will feel the vacuum but not with the screen on.
I just use the one that came with the pool. A lot of people complain that the pump is too weak but in my experience, once you learn how to balance the water that the pump that came with it will do its job. I have used the same 530gph pump for 3 years and the only time I have problem with water clarity is when it rains and when I forget to add chlorine. Once your water is balance, all you need to do is make sure that you have proper amount of chlorine. Check my other pool maintenance video on water balance. th-cam.com/play/PL_2zbWlUD8pnBmQEwh16YFeY-h2NW2s4G.html But of course, having a stronger pump will help keep the water cleaner a lot easier especially when you have a lot of people using the pool. We have 4 to 5 people using the pool every night for at least 90 to 120 minutes and the included pump is fine. The included pump will need to run at least 8 to 12 hours to do 2 complete turnover if you get a 2000 gph pump you can do 2 complete turnover in 2 hours for this pool so if you run it for 8 hours, that will be 8 turnover. Here's a couple of options for Cartridge type: amzn.to/40Tz9sj - Intex 1000 GPH amzn.to/3nFiR8e - Intex 2500 GPH I found this deal right now for Sand Filter Pump amzn.to/3KtUvXS - eXtremePower 2400 GPH with filter media Hope this helps and let me know if you have any question.
Thanks for the great video. Got a question. My cam connect came with only the head and not the tube. Am I missing part? I have exact same size as your pool. Thanks.

@@diymanual thanks for reply. I don’t see any part that would connect with the chem connect to insert into port A. I don’t see any standard gray screen. Can you please help me further on the chem connect pieces like photos etc? . Thank you in advance.

Really good instructional video. In fact significantly better than anything bestway provide! Question, how many chlorine tablets did you add to the clearflow?
No. It does not have an eyeball. There are multiple above ground pool water fountain you can buy but you may need to make adjustment to your connection. If your purpose is to simply create a fountain effect to help cool water or increase PH I just used a 1 inch pipe that I stuck into the middle hole of the Chemconnect. It is not pretty but it does the job.
Hi Sunshine, it is an inline filter so I just installed it in between the faucet and garden hose to filter the water before it goes into the pool (Faucet-->Filter-->Garden Hose-->to pool). You do not need it if your water is clear. I have to use it on mine because the water does not come out clear without the filter due to excessive iron.
I accidently put the u shaped legs on the inside of the pool strap like the other legs, should that be a problem? I have filled about half way and there is no moving them now unless I drain the pool.
It might bend and break. I would suggest drain it till you can pull the legs out. Water is cheap. It only cost about $30 to fill it. The reason the side support is like that is because the side wall will expand outward a little.
Or you can also use a solar cover like this amzn.to/41AvoZt A solar cover will simply be placed on top of your pool water so debris could still go on the side the cover will catch most of them. It also serve as a solar heater to heat-up your water during the day. I used the tarp and velcro method because there is no actual cover for this pool and there was no solar heater option at the time I purchased this.
I use this Vacuum: th-cam.com/video/ZmE4NTMHN7I/w-d-xo.html You can check my other pool videos here. th-cam.com/play/PL_2zbWlUD8pnBmQEwh16YFeY-h2NW2s4G.html
Others have done that on bigger vinyl pool but I do not see the point of winterizing it because this is a small pool with only 2,000 gallon of water. It will cost you more to get it ready for next season with chemical you will be using than just putting in new water which in my area only cost a little less than $30.
We just set up the same pool yesterday. How do you stop water from entering the filter when you perform filter maintenance like changing out the cartridge?
To stop water from coming out of the filter when you change the cartridge, simply lift the filter up higher than the "A" hose entry. It is quick to do. I have another video on how I replace the cartridge. Also, do not throw the dirty cartridge. You should be able to clean and reuse the cartridge. Enjoy your pool.
Thank you. What are the actual dimensions of the water bit and what are the external dimensions overall (metal bits that stick out)? Bestway don't give those details
@@diymanual Thanks for your reply, I read down below that you pit 2 or 3 1 inch tablets, did you also put liquid chlorine, I was told by my local pool supplier I needed to do so.
@@TheEfrain7 you can use tablet or liquid chlorine. It depends on your preference. Some like the liquid because the tablet tend to increase your CYA overtime.
Did not have any issue with the turf. The turf will of course flatten out but it goes back up after brushing. I could say turf is the best place to put the pool because turf will also serve as a nice cushion for your feet. Just make sure to place a support board on the footings to spread the weight.
@@diymanual Thank you for that reply.. I am having turf installed and want to have the ability to do a "seasonal" above ground pool, since I live in Oregon. It is good to know that this is an option during the summer. Did you see any discoloration from water with chlorine getting on your turf?
I do not see any discoloration in the turf. There are some white spots with powder texture around the side of the board I placed for footing I believe accumulated powdered chemical I put in the pool? Anyway, I was able to rinse it off with a garden hose. The turf was just like how it was before I installed the pool after I rinse and brush. If you are having your turf installed make sure that the contractor will compact the base properly. I installed my own turf and I made sure it is compacted well because I already have plan on installing an above ground pool during summer.
@@diymanualWhat if I left the pool up all season? My turf installer said he was concerned thay leaving a pool up for so long would cause an indentation in the turf where the pool used to be if I ever decided to get rid of it. Also, there's a lot of high and low spots in my turf, how would I be able to make it level?
@@Superman-xr1oh I do not keep the pool up all season but I don't think it would be an issue. Just make sure to put some board under the footing to distribute the weight. I'm surprised that your turf installer would doubt their own work. If they did not cut corners, your base should be compacted properly and should be hard. I installed my own grass and consulted with the manufacturer "Synlawn" and I was assured that the grass will not fade and that it will be able to handle the weight of the pool as long as I build the base properly. Some installer will use Class II roadbase or decomposed granite or a combination of both. I decided to just use class II road base on mine and compacted it with a vibrating plate that I rented from home depot. When you say you have high and low spots, is that there when they installed it or did it just show months after the grass is installed? If it is there since the beginning it should be fine. I have some imperfection in my grass install but it never cause an issue with the pool I'm not sure how bad is the high/low spots that you are talking about but to level them, you will need to lift the grass and add more base material. If it is just on a section, you can cut a square section to lift the grass, add base material and put the grass back in. Note that your grass will have filler and nails about 6 - 8 inches long. I hope I answer your question.
kindly help me understand if possible. I see two holes labelled B . on which you inserted tubes. there is another hole with nothing in it. how do I put valves on it. can you go slowly over that part. also how you set up the pipes.
There are 3 holes total that connects to the pump. 2 labeled 'B' that is joined by a T-joint then go to the pump intake that is labeled 'B' as well then 1 labeled 'A' that connects to pump output which is also labeled 'A' . Are you talking about the hole with cap that is not labeled that is close to the bottom? If so that is the drain valve that you can use to drain the pool at the end of the poos season. It comes with a hose attachment. For the setup just leave the cap in place. I forgot to mention that because I do not need it to setup the pool. I will make sure to cover that when I take down the pool.
No damage to artificial grass. I have it for 2 seasons and my grass still looks good. I will be putting it up again next week once my kids begin their summer break.
Hi Amanda, I actually purchase this size so my youngest son can stand and be confident in the water. The average water level on this is between 33 to 35 inches but you can probably go as low as 30 inches without the sides bowing too much. What you can do is let your kid stand by your sink counter to see how your kids height is compared to the sink as the average height of a sink is between 29 - 36 inches. My youngest learned to swim on this in just a couple of weeks. The water level at that time was up to his shoulder but kids grow so fast that on year 2 it is already below his chest. I will probably use this one more year then upgrade to a 52 inches. Anyway, his 2 older siblings (14 and 12) is still having fun in this pool even though it is only to their waist level. They can kneel down to keep themselves warm and still have their head above water. If your kid is a little taller, I would suggest to begin with a 42" so that you can also do your swimming exercise without touching the floor. Keep in mind that the height they give in the pool specification is the top of the pool but the average water level will be at least 5 - 6 inches lower than that height. You can probably set the water a little lower depending on the model you chose but remember, the lower the water level the more the side will bow especially on a longer pool. Hope this help.
If its an 8ft. wide pool you are telling people once the U holders are in the flaps extended out its 9 1/2 feet total. Once the flaps are extended out in the u hooks adding a foot to each side wouldnt the grand total of the width of the pool be 10 ft? You have to add a foot to each side once you extend them.
The frame width is actually 7 1/2. The way bestway and Intex measure the pool is based on the widest or longest part of the pool body which is where the bulge is or towards the bottom of the pool or if you look at the picture, where the support belt is.
How do you remove the port cover for the output? I need to plug those lines to winterize the pool. Mine has a little silver screw in it. Do I need to loosen that?
@@diymanual No, its on the inside of the pool, there appears to be a tiny silver screw that maybe keeps the output "cover" over the line, I tried to just hand turn the cover and it won't budge.
@@FenixJesterMedia oh that one. Just remove it. I removed mine and never put it back. So remove the small screw and turn the cover because cover also screws to the part that is connected to the hose. Not sure why the need to put those small screws in. Also if you are planning on using the small rubber plug that came with the pool you will need to remove the whole cover and housing and replace it with the plug.

How do you clean the inlet valves? I noticed hair accumulating where the valves suck in water.
How is the water coming out going through the filter and going back in the pool ,?how did you connect the filter
The filter pump have in and out outlet. From Pool->In->Out->Back to Pool.
Thanks. Huge help.
You are very much welcome. it's the end of pool season now so in a few days I will upload a video on how the synthetic turf will look like once I removed the pool.
I've just got the same pool but mine is a bit bigger it's 18ft x 9ft x 4ft
And I have 2x rocket stoves hooked up to 2x house Central heating radiators in Series over the fires the water coming out of the pipe is hot enough to burn if u keep your hand there for more than a few sec the test with one radiator and 1 fire pit the 2700 L water tank went from 8゚ to 35゚in 30 min
Cool.
I covered the pool measurement in this video: th-cam.com/video/2kHbzfJak6A/w-d-xo.html
My grass area is exactly 12 ft. wide and you can see the space I have to the front.
I just made a video using those plugs to replace the hoses in my pool while preventing water loss.
th-cam.com/video/_bd028r3zRw/w-d-xo.html
But you don't need it to replace filter, you can simply lift the filter up as shown in my other video to save time.

Hope this help.
@@diymanual tks for the confirmation, its up and running
Awesome video! One question, are you suppose to feel the suction from the pump? When the pool is filled? Mine doesn’t feel strong.
No. You won't feel the suction just the return. Maybe if you remove the screen and cover the 2 suction hole with your hands you will feel the vacuum but not with the screen on.
What is the brand of the water pump that you are using??? I need to change mine to one stronger
Check my other pool maintenance video on water balance. th-cam.com/play/PL_2zbWlUD8pnBmQEwh16YFeY-h2NW2s4G.html
But of course, having a stronger pump will help keep the water cleaner a lot easier especially when you have a lot of people using the pool.
Here's a couple of options for Cartridge type:
amzn.to/40Tz9sj - Intex 1000 GPH
amzn.to/3nFiR8e - Intex 2500 GPH
I found this deal right now for Sand Filter Pump
amzn.to/3KtUvXS - eXtremePower 2400 GPH with filter media
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any question.
Thanks for the great video. Got a question. My cam connect came with only the head and not the tube. Am I missing part? I have exact same size as your pool. Thanks.
Hi! The chem connect will just be the 2 pc head. White housing and Blue cover. This will replace the standard gray screen on the input side of the hose. Your pool will come with 4 hoses.
@@diymanual thanks for reply. I don’t see any part that would connect with the chem connect to insert into port A. I don’t see any standard gray screen. Can you please help me further on the chem connect pieces like photos etc? . Thank you in advance.
@@danielzpcsk85 My pool is still in the storage and I will not pull it until end of May orearly June. Your chem connect have 2 piece is this correct?
@@danielzpcsk85 at around 10:20 you will see me holding the chem connect and putting it in the input hole. Hope this help.
@@diymanual found it. Chem connect came in two pieces. There’s total 4 plugs/inserts. Two for B ports and chem connect for A port and the other one is spare I suppose which I took the tube part and connect it with the chem connect. Thank you your help. Greatly appreciated.
Really good instructional video. In fact significantly better than anything bestway provide! Question, how many chlorine tablets did you add to the clearflow?
I place 2 or 3 chlorine tablet. I use the 1 inch tablet by chlorox.
Do you know if this pool has an eyeball I want to add a water fountain or do you know what fountain works best for this pool
@@diymanual thank you it's frustrating
I did not understand where do you put the water filter you showed at min 13:15
Hi Sunshine, it is an inline filter so I just installed it in between the faucet and garden hose to filter the water before it goes into the pool (Faucet-->Filter-->Garden Hose-->to pool). You do not need it if your water is clear. I have to use it on mine because the water does not come out clear without the filter due to excessive iron.
@@diymanual oh ok thank you very much 🙏🙂
I accidently put the u shaped legs on the inside of the pool strap like the other legs, should that be a problem? I have filled about half way and there is no moving them now unless I drain the pool.
It might bend and break. I would suggest drain it till you can pull the legs out. Water is cheap. It only cost about $30 to fill it. The reason the side support is like that is because the side wall will expand outward a little.
Can you recommend a cover for this pool? Preferably a link thanks alot 🙏
You can get a tarp. amzn.to/3V2AT0t
and use this Velcro in the holes
amzn.to/3LpLEag
Easy to put and remove.
Or you can also use a solar cover like this amzn.to/41AvoZt
A solar cover will simply be placed on top of your pool water so debris could still go on the side the cover will catch most of them. It also serve as a solar heater to heat-up your water during the day. I used the tarp and velcro method because there is no actual cover for this pool and there was no solar heater option at the time I purchased this.
What kind of vacum do you use to clean the pool?
I use this Vacuum:

You can check my other pool videos here.
th-cam.com/play/PL_2zbWlUD8pnBmQEwh16YFeY-h2NW2s4G.html
I have a cement pad that is 25ft x 10ft wide will this fit on that pad?
It should. The long side is 14ft and the width is 9 1/2 including the side support.
Can the pool be winterized for Wisconsin winters?
Others have done that on bigger vinyl pool but I do not see the point of winterizing it because this is a small pool with only 2,000 gallon of water. It will cost you more to get it ready for next season with chemical you will be using than just putting in new water which in my area only cost a little less than $30.
is the size 14X8 "with legs" or frame only? Wondering if the side legs make the footprint more like 14x10 or 14x12? Can't seem to find an answer.
You will need 14 x 9 1/2 including side legs.
@@diymanual you are awesome. thanks!
Thank you for the video. Do you know the dimensions for the water hoes?
1.25
We just set up the same pool yesterday. How do you stop water from entering the filter when you perform filter maintenance like changing out the cartridge?
To stop water from coming out of the filter when you change the cartridge, simply lift the filter up higher than the "A" hose entry. It is quick to do. I have another video on how I replace the cartridge. Also, do not throw the dirty cartridge. You should be able to clean and reuse the cartridge. Enjoy your pool.
Mine came with two black plugs.
Thank you this video🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You are welcome and thanks for watching. Che my other pool maintenance videos.
Thank you. What are the actual dimensions of the water bit and what are the external dimensions overall (metal bits that stick out)? Bestway don't give those details
The length is 14ft long. The width is 9ft. 6 inches that is including the footing. The top rail (opening ) is 7 1/2 feet.
@@diymanual thank you very much
What material is the support you put on the legs?
I just used a sub floor panel and painted it to help it repel water. I have them for 2nd season already and it is still good.
Thank you so much!!
Great video, where do you find the right chlorine tablet?
Amazon.
Some like the liquid because the tablet tend to increase your CYA overtime.
where do you get the pump that you have?
I am using the pump that came with the pool. You can go to Amazon or Walmart to purchase replacement pump if you need a new one.

What are the actual dimension of the pool wit the frame?
14 x 9 1/2

How does the weight of the pool impact your turf? I’m considering getting a pool, but I’m concerned it will ruin my turf!
I have some imperfection in my grass install but it never cause an issue with the pool
I'm not sure how bad is the high/low spots that you are talking about but to level them, you will need to lift the grass and add more base material.
Hello just wondering if damaged your artificial grass?
No damage to artificial grass. I have it for 2 seasons and my grass still looks good. I will be putting it up again next week once my kids begin their summer break.
What about the electricity bill with the pump 🤔
This is equivalent to 1 LED light bulb. I just sold this pool but if I remember correctly, the pump is only .7 amp.
I check my water-filter and now my water pump wont stop leaking .HELP
Make sure you put the O-ring back properly and close the lid tightly.

How tall is your daughter. Im trying to get a size comparison
Thank you! The instructions were horrible.
Thank you. Enjoy your pool.
🥰🤩😇
It will be up again for my 3rd season in 3 months.

Are you talking about the screw that holds the filter hoses to the pool? If so then yes you will need to loosen that so you can pull the strainer.
