I came across this video on the watercolor art app on my Roku tv. Then the search started to find you on TH-cam. You’re very talented & thank you for sharing. I love your style of painting & how you give step by step instructions.
Ellen I love your channel. You don’t speed up videos. You actually try to teach and explain and help us be better in our passion of learning to paint Thank you
Beautiful!!! Oh my....criss cross, apple sauce. Our 2 girls are in their 30’s. We have 8 (and one on the way!), grandkids. If I had a nickel for every time I did criss cross, I could build an art studio! Lol. Love your tutorials. Thank you for the smiles. And the great ideas!!!
Thanks Ellen for sharing another amazing technique of how to create a painting of landscape scene with flowers, enjoyed the video as always which inspires others to try out. Thanks greatly appreciated stay safe
I used it on the last tutorial with a heart, I didn’t have the rub out block then and I think that’s why but mine stayed a little blue on the paper but I think it’s the paper probably as I am still learning so I am using cheaper paper...
I enjoy watching you paint, Ellen. I am brand brand new to watercolors and I'm learning a lot and becoming more at ease through watching your videos. :) Thank you!
Great tutorial! I tried this myself and loved the result. Never would have thought putting the blue in the grass but it really works. Thanks for all your tips!!
this was wonderful! thank you for all the tutorials you offer. in my rendition of a wild flower field, i used posca markers for the yellow/white/orange of the flowers as i didn't have gouache. i'm giving this to my mother for mother's day. i think i'll paint another one for myself, though!
I've not had good luck with masking fluid -- can you tell us how to make the flowers if you don't mask them? Gouach at the very end? That would be helpful. Love your tutorials!
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. My masking fluid turned out to be a pain (colourless one) that I could not see under a layer of paint. So my painting didnt turn out like yours but at least I managed to do something.
Didn't have mask. Tried to use Gouche on the Monet's Lilly Garden. New Gouche user. Fount that the Gouche reactivated the watercolor. Struggled to get good coverage. Maybe I was supposed to let the Gouche dry?? Maybe the liquitex acrylic Guoche wasn't the right kind?? A real challenge. 😊 I'll be getting some mask 👌 Before I do this one.
Can I ask, does Gouache dry the same as watercolour, my daughter bought me a cheap pallet with all colours of gouache it’s really thick and creamy but I thought it could not be mixed because the gouache would or cold resemble acrylic/oil...
Monet is my fave ❤ wonderful painting E.
I love this style of painting . Thank you so much….inspirational !

The cauliflower edge on the horizon looked like a farm and trees. Our landscapes in Ohio looked like that.
Could you when you have time maybe do snowdrops, mine are just peeping their heads through the ground just now, they are so pretty..
❤️🥰🤩

is there any way to do it just with watercolors and no masking tape?
❤❤👍🏿👍🏿👀👀 7/15/22
Can’t be done without masking?
If i haven't masking fluid , how can make It?
Have zero clue but you can just use gouache instead.
@@ellencrimitrent thank's so much😍
We in America say arche(s) apparently in the UK they say Arch
Very painterly. Lots of ads tho.
