I keep coming back to “Ellen” because of the actual real time instructions on how to do this or that. It makes me want to try these paintings more than just watching someone rush through something with voice overs. Thank you Ellen for your constant tutorials and all for nothing, free of charge, and much appreciated. We are so lucky to have you, keep it up.
Absolutely gorgeous seascape, especially with the sea oat grasses, sailboats, & seagulls. I love 💕 how you added n almost reflective color of the sky to the sandy beach. You always make it look easy & definitely lots of fun. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video! 😊
Plumes. The things on the top of the grasses, like pampas grass. But anyway, you're my favorite! Girlfriend, you are the best teacher. It's all just likes and shapes and marks. You make it all so approachable. Thank you very much! Not only do I watch all of your videos, but I frequently paint along with you, and if I don't paint with you, I save the video to paint with you later. You've blessed my life. PS. As a NYer living in Atlanta, I love to hear your northern-ese way of speaking. ;)
I so love your laid back style!! You've taught me so much and had me trying things that I felt I could never do by breaking things into easy to follow steps! Thank you!!
Ahhhh....the beach, the crashing of the waves, the blowing of the beach grass, the seagulls.......you’ve captured it all. I’ll be painting this today! Need me some “beach” right about now!! Thanks, Ellen!!
This is amazing. You've made it so easy to do. I'm new to watercolor and you've helped me learn so much. Now I want to try qouache! Thanks for the lessons, I've been watching video after video for days. I can't get enough.
I love this painting.....so breezy looking. I imagine myself there. I watch and try everything you show us. Notice I said “try”. I’m not too unhappy with what I do, all thanks to your great demonstrations and tips.
You are the best!! You explain so well and take your time while your voice is very pleasant to listen to also. Please continue your classes. Love them all!!
I love your color choices! They are all so pleasing and go together. Thank you for this tutorial, I live not far from the beaches but have been too intimidated to paint them!!! The adding some magenta to different places is like makes it all look magical
Ellen, Loved this tutorial and all the others before tbis. Beautifully painted and well explained. Many thanks! Learn something new each time you paint.
What a lovely beach scene. Thanks for the tutorial. What's a good alternate blue for the Peacock Blue? I already have the other colors you used except that Peacock.
Last night I looked up the definition and examples of painterly. And here this Thursday morning i get to watch you paint in a painterly manner, or so I think. Am I correct?
