I dont think a holiday release is likely. Much more likely summer or early Autumn at latest. They dont wanna go up against PS5 pro during holiday 24.

There are many people obsessed with the power of the Switch 2, forgetting that the Switch came to market having considerably less power than the other consoles.
And no, it's not going to be like a handheld PS5, that's not how anything works.

I'm kind of hoping that Nintendo trys to reinvent gaming again with the next console.

nintendo consoles have never been about peak power, they have always been about reinventing ways to play video games. the next console i hope there is cross compatibility for switch games but also has new gimicks included :P

I think that Nintendo Switch 2 will get power more like PS4, not PS5.

Very likely, it's virtually impossible to make a handheld with the power of a PS5.

Please don't expect this to be anywhere near the PS5. We are talking about a mobile SoC that will comsume 5-15 watts. The PS5 draws well over 200W under load. The most powerful mobile SoCs available (Apple's A17 Pro in the iPhone 15 Pro) are roughly on the level of a PS4/PS4 Pro. The Tegra 239's GPU will be more powerful than the A17, but it comes down to what Nintendo chooses to do with clock speeds and power profiles.

The switch 2 will be no where near the power of the iPhone 15pro max you wish

The Switch 2 will not be a PS5, not because Nintendo is trying to keep costs down, but because the technology isn't really there to fit a PS5's power into a tablet.
But the tech leaked from Nvidia for Switch 2 is pretty damn powerful, somewhere around a PS4 Pro in raw power, and featuring new modern GPU features, some of which are not even available on PS5. So basically, games will look awesome.
