I was born in the USA but my parents are Peruvian. At the 2018 FIFA World cup in Russia, Peru faced Denmark in group C and when the Denmark players came out to warm up they played this song and it stuck with me forever. I had the luck to go to the World cup in Russia. Just by hearing this song I had a feeling the Danish would win... Peru played very good but Denmark scored from a through ball from Eriksen to Poulsen and held on to the game to win 1-0. After the final whistle they played this song again I felt bad for my father since he waited 36 years to watch his nation at a World Cup and they lost but I could not stop staring at all the Danish people jumping up and down singing along to this song celebrating the win. Great Moment I will always remember, respect to Denmark respect to Peru.
This song and "Danmark man dark" made me fall in love with this band. And when I chose this for my favorite band during Spanish class (cause he told us to pick a nickname, a favorite brand, and a favorite artist or band and guess who wrote it) and when he said Nephew everyone was confuse so when I was discovered, I told them they were a Danish rock band, they looked at me crazy. 3
Yeah, I totally understand. Most of the music I listen to is not in English. My favourite band is Welsh (and sings in the Welsh language) but I listen to a lot of music in different languages. People think it is weird, but I prefer to think of it as eccentric. Although, it should be normal, since it is now so easy to find music n so many different languages.
Your not the only one, we are like you. Through out high school I only listened to German bands and some Russian too. But mostly German. I would tell people and they would say, do you know what they're even saying. I would tell them not entiraly and they would say to me "then why do you listen to them", I just like the language and the sound to German music. Especially punk rock german music.

I've been listening to Nephew for.... I don't know how many years, and this track still puts me in a good mood. My very first Nephew track was 'Igen Og Igen' though, and that's what got me interested in the band. :D

Crown Princess Mary was an Australian before meeting her magnificent husband, the Crown Prince of Denmark. So I love Denmark particularly, now that I have a fellow Aussie as a member of its Royal Family !
