If you closed your garage door, you could see better and you have many garage lights overhead which causes an issue when you're trying to use a light in confined spaces. It's like overpowering from outside
It's over 100 degrees with crazy humidity where I'm at. Closing the door is not an option most days in Florida. One day I'll install an ac then I'm good to go. About the light, it has been great for when the hood is up blocking the lights or for in the cab work. 👍
As a guy that has a ridgid flashlight hanging from the garage door, i feel like i might need one of these lol. Great video.

I wonder if you can order just the bracket for the light from their replacement parts list.
That is a great idea! If you check let me know. Back when I ordered this it just came out, they told me this was the only way to get the bar. Things may have changed over time.
I just bought the Icon light bar, and two more Icon lights (didn't realize the light bar came with one light). So far, I'm disappointed in the battery life. I am able to charge them while using the light, but it only allows the dimmest setting while charging. I bought the Braun 1200 lumen underhood light at the same time. So far, the Braun is better.
Mine on full power last a little over 3 hours of filming. On medium 5 to 6 hours. How much longer does the Braun get then the icon ones? My Braun lights last about the same. The 2 Braun ones I have are slim bar 390s.

One of the most helpful videos I’ve seen on this light. Can the lights be used while the they are charging?
That is a great question, I will test one tomorrow and update this reply. I would guess its not great on the battery as most rechargeable items need to be off to charge optimally. Thanks for taking the time to comment 👍
@@thisoldhooptie I’d imagine these lights use 18650’s or some lithium battery. You mentioned these lights get hot, add charging on top of that and it definitely wouldn’t be favorable for the batteries, but it’s good to know if they can be used while charging. Milwaukee’s light bar that is similar to this can be used plugged in without the battery attached
@@mostcallmerob the lights can be used while plugged in, however they stop charging once the USB cable is inserted.
@@thisoldhooptie interesting, thanks for running that down! I actually picked up the bar tonight at HF with the New Year 25% coupon, but they were all sold out of the individual puck lights.

Can you daisy chain the lights with the charger wires to charge them all with one USB port?
I believe the other usb port is for using the led as a portable battery only. Probly not the best for the battery to be charged and discharged at the same time. Get a 4 port USB charger with decent amps for fast charge and you will be good to go.

Seems to be extremely expensive.
It's not for everyone. For me, it fits the need, so it is worth the price of admission. This setup provided a smaller footprint than the old studio lights with no cables to trip over. 👍
