Hi, Thanks for your comment! I was 6 in 83 & didn't get my first Tamiya car until a while after that. I saw a friends Super Sabre at middle school when I was 8 or 9 & the speed blew me away! My first was the Lunch Box - so cool - & then a Thunder Dragon (which, weirdly I also managed to find fairly recently & cheap at a Car Boot Sale). I progressed in my teen years to a fully modified Manta Ray with carbon chassis etc (more like egress specs). Anyway, I don't want to use this one because I like to keep them nice now, but I can imagine it would have been a really fun one to drive around! It was a brilliant day when I found this - it is this kind of bargain that keeps me going back to the Car Boot Sales! You should check out my 80s toy videos - we may have owned all the same stuff! Also I have done vids on Keyrings, Badges, Magnets, Pencil Tops, Erasers, etc etc from the 80s - all so nostalgic for me! Thanks for watching my channel - it is TRULY Appreciated!!!
Hey Leon! I've changed my notification settings and this popped up! Hope you are well, I've been sketching daily 😊. Hope to return to class after the summer. 👍
Thanks Liz! It will be great to see you again & glad to hear that you have been keeping up with the drawing. I have two more weeks of this term & then I am off until September - should be a good term as even more people tend to enrol then!
@@LeonCreatorwithLeonHills I know you don't not necessarily plan in advance but could we do some more "straight to watercolour" each week? Or could we do some colour mixing exercises? Think a lot of people including me always worried about butchering a pencil drawing so could do with some practice/studies before painting the main event.
Amazing memories. That was literally my first rc car. I spent every cent I had on it😍😍I was 9 in ‘83. So lucky to find that

@@lizleiart Hi Liz,
Yes, I have been doing a lot more of those already this term - sometimes nice just to get straight on with the paints!!!
@@LeonCreatorwithLeonHills Great stuff, hope I can make it, if everything goes to plan 👍😊
