Mine are not out but every time I start the car it starts to cry about my lights but they are working fine is they a way to remove the warning light so it does not come on ??
If yours has Xenon headlights, then probably yes.Just check online for a DRL for your particular vehicle and see if it's a bulb or module to make sure.
Hey mines never worked when I got my f32 , I bought the yellow drl and they still don’t work , my friend said I have to code them in , Are you familiar with that ?
@@motorcarnut they was on before when I first plugged them in , But I had the ignition on , when I went to turn ignition off then on again they never came back on
I've had water get in my headlight as the arch liner was damaged. I see lots of condensation on the lenses. My drl stopped working yesterday everything else works. Is the module toasted or will it work by drying out you think.
@@motorcarnut I have dried it out still not working. I swapped over from the other side and know which one it is. Do you know if I buy a used one or new do they need coding in or plug and play
Great video! I have a 2018 and mines not burnt out but beginning to “fade” and it’s not as bright as the other four rings. Would the module be bad or the light tube melted?
@@motorcarnutwhy at 1:50 I can see two on one headlight? The other with corroded pins and the other spike thing next to it so there’s two modules on one headlight? Both halo rings light up off one module on each side? Why did only one halo light up when you used the flashlight to demonstrate?
@@motorcarnut at 1:50 I see two silver spikey things the other in your hand holding and the other on the headlight. Also when you demonstrate with flashlight only one halo ring lights up so that means two modules for each headlight? Why is there the second spikey silver thing

I'm afraid not. Make sure the plug to the module is not corroded and make sure they are tightly connected. Then try to erase codes in the computer.
I have a 2016 428i does this also apply for my model as well.

Could be a wiring problem, most don’t need programming

All my fuses are good and I even had my little brother run bimmercode on it and no luck
@shkuchiluchianno3326 any codes coming up?
thank you Sir for the Video, do you know if the F15 BMW X5 2014 uses the module or the BULBS
If you have HID ( Xenon ) head lights then they use the module, if regular Halogen head lights they use bulbs.

You never know, try drying it out before buying a new one.

@@motorcarnut DRL IS FLASHING ,ALSO I PROGRAMED FRM MODULE ALREADY, CAN YOU TELL ME WHATS GOING ON ? THANKS

Can be both, you would have to remove it and see.
my bmw 2018 is doing the samething, it's just faded in comparison to the other ones. What ended up being the issue on yours?
I prob woulda put some dielectric grease on the plugs and the seals to help prevent future problems.
Not a bad idea, but from the factory there isn’t any.
@@motorcarnut yes but In their eyes, it’s only gotta last until it’s out of warranty, then it’s someone else’s problem! Lol
Bingo!
My bmw x3 2015 daytime running light not working what should be! The thank you

No, only one per side.
