Great life lessons
Well i mean hes the herald of messenger
Messenger of life lesson 😎

@@Trunkilo lmao
I love the fact that by giving into Ryu-kushin Powered impatiently, he literally just got his power buff with no added benefit.
It all fits so well.
Also kinda get absorbed, it's less of him and more of that demon.
That "Seed" Plot reveal actually amazed me quite a lot.
Yeah I honestly love learning what different cards are based on. Same with Pokemon designs
When you try to become an archlord but end up being an edgelord
Edgilordo
Sounds like Shadow the hedgehog
Warrior of Zera was the first card I ever got from a booster pack. I saw his description and kinda liked him, even though he was useless as a card. I remember thinking "I know it's just some throwaway flavor text for a throwaway card, but I still hope he reaches the temple someday".
Then later I found out about archlord zerato and Mazera Deville. I was completely blown away. This random vanilla card that I had kept for sentimental value actually had a story! He did finally reach the sanctuary! It was one of the most amazing moments of my life.
Lol
Lmfao 😅👍
You found your Soul Card!
The dreams of anal fabrics
First 3 cards I ever got some guy at a flee marked gave them to me,i still have them.
1 is kagemisha of the blue flame
2 D-human
3 mysterious puppeteer
First started deck was the original dark magician/yugi deck back in like 02 when yugioh first came out
Fun fact:
Archlord Zerato was the ultra rare cover card of ancient sanctuary, but Mazera DeVille was a secret rare. Back then, secret rares were...well, secret! That means the "bad ending" was something a lot of kids didn't know about. Keep in mind, the internet back then wasn't what it is today, so there was still room for playground myths.
Funny, Mazera is the only Zera card of the bunch that I actually own from back in the day.
I actually got a Mazera DeVille and wouldn't end up getting Warrior of Zera until years later. I wasn't even aware of the other Zera cards until much later after that.
must've been fun back then as a yugioh playground kid player
This lore really had me at the edge of my seat - honestly, gotta give props to the card makers for this incredible attention to detail in story (especially with the same 2800/2300 ending) but I never would've guessed that Zera's timeline's were a parallel to the Seed parable in the book of Matthew. That blew me away.
@Forever Outraged Kaiba, "Why are they white?"

the fallen angels
@@Marcusjnmc Ol' Palps was a fiend if there ever was one lol
In fact, Angel of Zera's atack can be higher through his own effect
Shows that he made the right choice.
Not only that, he has literally made himself immortal in the ultimate sense. What is more permanent than the graveyard? It is banishing the card. Banishing a card is more ultimate than sending a card to the graveyard, and Angel of Zera can never be permanently banished. Thus, he is immortal. He made the right decisions in life, ultimately achieving eternal life, just as how the book of Matthew wants us to become.
@@eeasuper yugioh is subtly giving its players base life lesson man. But sadly they focus on shortprintings and $$$ more than its playerbase now.
But its stil nice knowing they still print cards that have some biblical references to a degree, like apostle of crossout , (nobleman of crossout in the US cause of butthurt Christians) and Infernoids ( same case when it comes to censorship. In the ocg, each monster name in the archtype is a direct reference to their respective demon. Even Satan is mentioned within the archtype)
But the base stats are 2800 and 2300 so it's still right

I’ll never understand why they didn’t shift the focus of the show to the lore of the cards. Imagine if they announced a Magic the Gathering HBO series and it was about a bunch of fat choads playing the game at a local CM Games.

Given that Warrior dai Grepher turns into Dark Blade, I'd love to hear if Dark Blade's story continues on in the other card art of him. For the choice though, I'll puck Blue Eyes.
I agree, as it is my favorite monster.
I think the anime gives a pretty good story behind Blue-Eyes.
I vote for blue eyes. I want to know how and why 3 fused into the ultimate dragon.
Dark Blade's story splits in two possible ways. On one side he picks Pitch Dark Dragon as his mount and becomes Dark Blade the Dragon Knight. He is the direct rival to Paladin of White Dragon. On the other side he picks a black horse as his mount and becomes Dark Blade Captain of the Evil World. He wages war against the good, perhaps the Lightsworn.

It's also possible that the story doesn't branch at all. Proposal:
Zera becomes the Sanctuary's Herald. Then is granted power to become an angel. He then gains the *title* of the Archlords but believes they're holding out on him _power-wise_ (due to no increased stats), so he turns on them to become a Darklord. Whether successful against the Archlords or not, the Darklords eventually clash with the Archfiends and Zera is either captured or defeated along with the Darklords, forced to start over by working his way up to becoming a General and finally ascending (or DEscending) into Mazera DeVille.
At this time, the Plaguespreader Virus makes its way to corrupting various dark entities (himself, Summoned Skull, Dark Ruler Ha Des) turning him into Alghoul Mazera. Eventually, whether recovering on his own or via some other means, the power is sapped from him. Desperate to reclaim it (even though he would be without an effect like all his other forms), he makes a deal with Ryu-Kishin to perform the forbidden Ritual of Zera to transform into his final form: Zera The Mant.
Man gotta love this Lore stories.

wow, this is amazing. I never thought that Zera has some story behind him. And i never thought that Zera has some relation with Zera the Mant, Darklord Zerato and Angel of Zera. This is cool and interesting. Please share other videos about the lore of Yugioh
Exactly what I thought! I thought that Zera the Mant just so happened to resemble Ryu Kishin Powered. Then again, that seemed to happen quite a lot in that era of YuGiOh. Like Witch of the Black Forest and Goddess with the Third Eye, Morphing Jar and Ancient Jar, Petit Angel and Shining Friendship. List goes on with the counterpart cards

*Gospel of Matthew, chapter 13, New Testament (NIV):*
*The Parable of the Sower*
That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’[a]
16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Good video but it would be nice to include the original uncensored OCG terms for complete clarity.
Fiend = Demon
Mazera DeVille = Devil Mazera
etc...
Also, would love to see a video like this on Black Luster Soldier/Chaos Soldier.
Already commented but I had to add this: during Easter, I looked back at Matthew 13 and the Parable of the Sower told by Jesus (which Zera's timelines translate from), and in addition to the seed parallel, there's an even deeper connection from what I can tell, gunsblazing (my own personal conclusion):
Zera becoming "Zera the Mant" represents the seed that was not planted properly and devoured by the birds with ease; Zera allows temptation too quickly from one fiend, resulting in his demise.
MaZera Deville represents the seed choked by the thorns; Zera being tempted not just by one - but the entirety that is the Archfiends of Pandemonium. The entire environment corrupts him.
Archlord/Darklord Zerato represents that seed planted on rock; though the seed was able to grow successfully for a while, without a proper foundation, it withered. Though Zera achieved his Archlord dream, it was his lust for power that withered away his soul til he became the Darklord
And lastly, and obviously Angel of Zera, successfully planted on a foundation of principle; he became what he was meant to be and more.
I had to reread that section of Matthew for myself, but definitely the way you told the stories of Zera, it matches perfect with how the other seeds failed and how Zera fell from grace at times.
Old Yugioh lore is so much better than modern yugioh lore tbh. Here we have a simple yet effective story told through multiple sets of cards with a powerful lesson. What even is Albaz about? And why is it related to thirteen quintillion archetypes? Dumb and convoluted. Zera > Albaz
