    abandoning the 10.0 system is exactly why we are seeing this incredible level of difficulty in men's vault

      Huge Gymnastics Fan A newer Code has these V's SV's much lower. The Li Xauopeng is now only a 6.2. But Uchimura has just upgraded to the Li Xaiopeng.

    Yang hak seon is the only one who can do "yang hak seon" technique..which is 7.4 wow..unbelievable

  • @KadenLunt
    @KadenLunt 12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yang Hak Seon is now training a Kasamatsu stretched with 2 1/2 twists and a handspring front layout with 3 1/2 twists! Tha Kas will probably be worth a 7.4 and the handspring will be a 7.8!

    can someone explain the tsukahara vault family vs, the kasamatsu family?

    • @hawleybrown2870
      @hawleybrown2870 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      A kaz is a layout tsuk with 1/1 twist. So a 2/1 kaz would be the same as a layout tsuk 3/1

      A kas is twisting the same way you round off, and a tsuk is twisting the different way.

    Why didn't you "let" Dragulescu perform his own vaults? I mean he is the best at them.

    • @vettegaddia6234
      @vettegaddia6234 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      fandreea Yes, in this video, his Dragulescu should have gotten a 10.0 considering the much more liberal judging standard during that era.

    No you need to land on your feet, so roll-out skill are not permitted on vault. And as far as i know nobody ever tried it on purpose.

      The Reluctant Hero He falls, he even fell at the 2012 Olympics. But he still won the Olympics AA. And he won by a large margin thanks to much better day during the AA finals.

      Vault is particularly good to him, though it's his least favorite apparatus.

    • @vettegaddia6234
      @vettegaddia6234 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PasserBy869 Kohei just upgrade V to a Li Xauopeng (one of the hardest vaults in the World @ 6.2. The Xaoupeng was a 7.2 in the last COP...the period when the Tsuk double pike and the Dragulescu were rated lower at 7.00?

    • @PasserBy869
      @PasserBy869 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Vette gaddia I'm aware of Kohei's upgrades; I'm a huge fan of him. In the past 7 years, Kohei have already performed at least 5 different vaults (Tsuk 2/1, Shewfelt, Yeo 2, Dragulescu, Shirai-Kim/TTY, and Li Xiaopeng) in international and domestic competitions.
      Also, the values of the vaults in this video have dropped by a full point in the 2013-2016 CoP.
      So...
      Tsuk 2/1 - old D-value: 6.2 ;; new D-value: 5.2
      Shewfelt - old D-value: 6.6 ;; new D-value: 5.6
      Dragulescu - old D-value: 7.0 ;; new D-value: 6.0
      and so on...

    • @vettegaddia6234
      @vettegaddia6234 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PasserBy869 Yes, I know the V have been devalued by a full point, which I think is fair. In the past, AA gymnasts who were great on V always get a bigger advantage because V always get the highest scores of all 6 apparatus.
      I never knew Kohei did a Dragulescu...

    @urexactlyretarded hand front vaults take much more power. tsuk layout and hand front layout are worth different values as well.

  • @terrywheelock9458
    @terrywheelock9458 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, they obviously don't know what the difference between a Tsuk Full and Kasamatsu is, a Tsuk Full twists all the same direction 1 1/2 twists, and a Kasamatsu twists opposite direction and only 1 twist.
    And, that last drawing vault is simply a Handspring Half Double Back. The FIG are such idiots, and it is SAD the sport is so RIGGED and clownish now! 🤣
