No filters on audio.
Thoughts:
- Once you lube and film the silent reds, it's a complete game changer; the stock plate mounts are not bad and I would say that the Durock V1's aren't much better and it really comes down to how you lubricate them. I plan on redoing the stabs with a thin later of Teflon (plumber's tape) on the ends of the stab bars and using dielectric grease via syringe while the stem itself and its enclosure are lubed with Krytox 205g0.

I'd hear that silent red switches can't be lubed on the rail stem because it can be sluggish & sticky when type on, is it true?

Ive had Filco and Leopolds in silent red and mx red, I gotta say the Filco MJ2 has a way better silent red than my FC660M. The FC660m is way too mushy, the Filco is nice and thoccy
Sounds mushy but I kinda like that sound profile
Yeah the silent reds are very quiet and does have a satisfying chalky sound. Very specific tastes. I enjoy it as well and it's a nice change of pace when swapping keyboards

Hey man I just got the FC980m in silent red. Can you do a tutorial for how to do this?
If you look up how to lubricate cherry MX switches, there are lots of awesome guides. You'll also find a guide of a guy doing a disassembly with the FC980M. Just make sure you have the soldering equation etc.

@@jimmyle3246 Yeah, you do. It's not terribly difficult however. Just time consuming more than anything. But I found it relaxing lol.
