Holy shit I wanted to see a video of play in a bad water pump since I didn't change it last time I changed the timing belt. Mine was rock solid like your new one, but got spooked from other people that it needs to be changed.
Now I know for sure that mine was fine.

Did you have to drain the coolant first before removing the water/coolant pump?
