Hello Ros, I really liked this video. This book seems so beautifully crafted, I saw that it won the Goodreads Awards for best sci-fi this year. Graham Gore seems such an interesting character. I will put in my list of TBR 😊
Thank you, I have been having a hard time figuring out if I want to read this, I do love time travel books, but I try to pick ones that I can get into. This one sounds very interesting. Now, I'm very interested.
I read this back in October and just loved it! I recommended it unreservedly. I don't know anyone else who read it, so it was especially interesting to hear your review. I thought it was kind of neat that the narrator was unnamed.
@@timheaney7408 I thought it was a delight to read. And I agree, I liked the narrator being unnamed. It made Adela's choice of a name more poignant. I'm glad to hear from someone else who enjoyed it.
Are there many things in this cool hearted world so utterly exquisite as the pure love of one woman for another woman? my one friend is a woman some 12 or 13 years older than me. she is as different from me as day is from night. She believes in god...she carries with her an atmosphere of gentleness and truth..while I am ready and waiting to dedicate my life to the devil in exchange for happiness... I AWAIT THE DEVILS COMING by Mary Maclane published in 1920 when she was 19 The book was a sensation, selling 100,000 copies in the first month
@@chrisbeveridge3066 I think you meant to type 1902. Have you read I Await the Devil's Coming/The Story of Mary MacLane? I am intrigued by it but some reviews make it sound a bit tiresome.
NICE-

@@AbiofPellinor ooh yes this could be a win for you.
I also enjoyed this one - it was not at all what I expected it to be from the marketing, but fascinating nonethless.
@@spreadbookjoy it was a lot of fun to read and took me a bit by surprise.
