  • Why do 35 to 40 percent of Amherst College students study abroad? Watch as four students share their experiences in Costa Rica, Cuba, Brazil, Vietnam, South Africa and New Zealand. Their stories are as different as their interests.
A semester or year abroad can deepen your Amherst education, supporting your academic pursuit with first-hand global experiences. Students return with a better handling of foreign languages, increased confidence, and a greater appreciation for other cultures.
Study Abroad at Amherst can assist students in finding just the right program that could prove to be a life-changing experience. Find out more at www.amherst.edu...

What % of the Amherst College student body is 'White' these days and what % of the students that choose to study abroad go to Europe? This video makes me believe the answer to both is zero.
Also, is anybody learning a language while abroad these days or are they simply encouraged to gain a better understanding of co-operatives and universal health care systems? The clear underlying theme is that the US would be better off if it adopted the policies of third world countries. Sad.
