@@garyserdoz6915 Who's next is indeed one of the greatest rockalbum ever.
But it could have been a bit greater if "pure & easy " wasn' t banned.
Townshend released it on his first solo album, but without Daltreys voice.
" Once was a note pure and easy" was the initial idea for the narrative he was working on.

Being extremely familiar with 4/5ths of your list-the Soft Boys listing had me checking out song samples and HOW IN THE HELL HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS MELODIC MASTERPIECE WITH ROBYN HITCHCOCK OUT FRONT!?!? I have certainly seen the Soft Boys named in many music mags and what not......but never followed up, for some reason. I think I believed they were too experimental, not musical enough. But they are EXACTLY the type of slightly off center, guitar based, smart and clever band that I am always searching for (like The dB's, Game Theory, Wire Train, Let's Active, The Feelies, Velvet Crush etc. ) and now thanks to you, Mike Shannon, I just ordered the c.d. for 10 bucks on amazon! The Bends - Radiohead
    The Joshua Tree -U2
    Ten - Pearl Jam
Wish you were here - Pink Floyd
The Thirteenth Step - A Perfect Circle
Coliseum Rock - Starz (admittedly I may be on my own with this one)

    "Perfect" albums IMO
Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King (I agree 100% with Pete)
    Metallica - Master of Puppets
Amon Amarth - Once Sent From the Golden Hall & Versus the World (Their best two albums IMO)
Nightwish - Century Child (Even the extended version, I love every song)
Chastain - Mystery of Illusion (Not the best production, but I can easily listen to this whole album)
Children of Bodom - Follow the Reaper & Hatebreeder (If I'm in the mood for Children of Bodom, I can easily do either of these start to finish)
Honorable Mention: I could listen to probably any of Draognforce's first 4 albums from start to finish, but the songs all sound so similar I could just listen to all 4 on shuffle and not really care. Dragonforce to me is something where you listen to the band itself rather than a particular album or song (At least their first 4 albums).
EP (Less tracks so separate category)
Amon Amarth - Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds
    Warlord - Deliver Us
    ALMOST made the list;
Metallica - Ride the Lightning - Love it, except I never cared for Fight Fire with Fire
Lacuna Coil - Comalies - I could do without Angel's Punishment and Aeon, LOVE the rest of the album
Most of Sabbath's first 10 albums except 1-2 songs I don't care for that ruin it. Rat Salad, FX, Embryo etc.
Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman - Little Dolls fucks this one up, could do without that song, otherwise it's my favorite Ozzy album
Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears - Mr. Tinkertrain - Hate this song, other than this track I love this whole album.
Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith - Could live without Jawbreaker and Eat Me Alive
Judas Priest - Painkiller - A few tracks just aren't near the level of others. I love the Painkiller, Between the Hammer & The Anvil, Touch of Evil, One Shot at Glory, Tracks 2-5 are kinda just "okay" for me.
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast - Could do without Gangland or Invaders
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time - Could do without Heaven Can Wait, especially where they just keep repeating "Heaven can WAAAAAIT" over and over.
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son - The Title Track where it just repeats "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" like 8 times in a row, just overkill, the only low point on the album for me.
Running Wild - Under Jolly Roger - Not a big fan of Raw Ride

The first Boston album certainly is awesome, but I am at the point where when I hear "More than a Feeling" I turn it off. I've just heard it too many times. Freebird falls in that same category. If I never hear it again, then I am fine. On the other hand, Foreplay/Long Time is my favorite single rock song of all time. The production, the musicianship, the vocals. The song just soars from the get go. Close to the Edge would be what they used to call a desert island disc. "And You and I" is something I am going to have played at my funeral. It is so life affirming, so gorgeously melodic and an unsurpassed example of rock and roll poetry. If you think about the talent level of those five guys, there are very few other bands who even come if you look at instrument by instrument.
