It's sad to hear they didn't make the third game. With extra tweaks and polish, the series would have reached its full potential with a third game. Too bad this game didn't receive the recognition it deserves. ZOE1 was only sold under the merits of being packed with a MGS2 demo and I remember ZOE2 being a financial fluff but still was a progressive step up compared to the first game.

The anti aliasing shocks me this game looks so good Konami knows how to work with the PlayStation 2 sometimes I wonder what if PlayStation 2 was more easy to devolp for

Buying this game was the only way I was able to get my hands on the MGS 2 demo early! I remember actually loving it and the Konami did this th-cam.com/video/arQEf1uBPWQ/w-d-xo.html and juste blew my mind in ways I never thought possible! I adored this game before and now it's on a whole new level!! Btw, they removed Kojima's name now!! That's not cool!
The sequel is okay and all,
But I prefer the original better.
This is a weird one for me, on one hand I can appreciate the beauty of this game and how flying around so fast comes off, it looks stunning, but at the same time......I really did not enjoy this game. After about two levels, the game got quite tedious and some of the levels were boring to me. I did not play the first game so this was my debut to the ZoE series, I really did not get the story at all and that also affected my enjoyment of the game. I know this game is highly regarded by some people, but when people ask my honest opinion, I consider ZoE 2nd Runner to be pretty overrated. I do appreciate some of the aspects of the game, it looks good and it sounds good, it has features that are cool, but I came out of the game disappointed.
It just was not very fun for me and I lost track of the story so badly I just stopped caring about it. I have tried to love it over the years, I even played the HD remaster on PS4 to completion, but this game just does not click with me, I still find it overrated. Glad you enjoyed it though, I certainly don't begrudge people for liking it, maybe you can see something in it that I don't.
Like you said, sometimes this stuff just doesn't click with people. I've plenty of games like that.
