7:06 I had to hotspot from my blackberry, I haven't heard that in a while
Nostalgia
hahahah true that. My other phone is a BB_Motion and I still get those looks of surprise sometimes even incredulity
Shreyash Agarwal- Because he has a lot of older phones on older softwares and if he didn’t block the Apple updates they would be automatically updated to their latest firmware, which cuts their value significantly.
Nice
@@imshreyash So that his Macs and iPhones don't update to the latest version of iOS or macOS.
Hugh: I can see that this iPod was already opened due to the battery not being original. DankPods: SOMEONE’S BEEN IN HERE MATE!!
SOMEONES BEEN IN HERE! THATS THE CHEATER WAY OF INSTALLING THE BAT-TREE
If only it was on a ipad 4th Gen in a green case
Hmm, I imagine Hugh would say "has already been" instead of "was already".

SilverGlaceon YT yep.
1:10 Retracts are when the drive detects a shock and the heads park to prevent damage to the platter.
Also hello DankPods fans, I am one of you!
Oh hello fellow DankPod fan! Also uh hi!?
Considering this was carried around everyday, I presume this would have more retracts if it was used a lot considering a knock against the table could cause this? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me.

@@sajidsalih he bought some blackberry android phone. But still, something that we never hear from anyone lol
Great video. I am still using the 160GB version since having bought it new more than ten years ago and it still works perfectly and holds a reasonably good charge. I love the simplicity of the device and the ease of volume and song control without having to look at it. It is truly "classic"!
About time you discarded it
“The iPod has a lot of scratches on the front” and deeper grooves at a level seven

ofc we would love to see you mod bluetooth to one of these iPods! Great video, as always Hugh.
Is beautiful, I love iPod classic.
I love the production quality of your videos!
One of my favorite restoration channel
Nice high! I would recommend putting a foam pad in between the as card adapter and the logic board. This will stop it shorting out and rattaling. Keep up the great work!

Love this video bro. I do have x2 5th gen bought on ebay for $20 on the white and $15 on the black. Yes the bluetooth module is the way to go for this and the big battery and I'm also planning for a Qi charger module now it'll next gen iPod for quite sometime with this upgrades. Keep up the good work and keep posting videos.
nice job - thanks for the walk-through.
Your videos are the best!!!

I got lucky and bought my iPod Classic silver (like yours) 160Gb for 5 euros from a car boot sale. Fully working!
Recuerdo que cuando era pequeña quería uno de esos y ahora me sale en recomendación 😂
This is......SATISFYING!
Looks brand new! Yes do Bluetooth videos please.
Hugh, you're living my dream of repairing older phones/tablets/computer etc. Unfortunately I can almost never find good deals on old hardware on ebay 🤔.
The metal body of the iPod is satisfying when he pulled that plastic of
I love these videos, but wow … I admire the fact that he actually touches the dirt & grime with his bare hands.
You're the best guy here on TH-cam.
Smells like dankpods
I love ur vids and this one is 👌👌👌👌👌 keep going
Yes to the blue tooth. I have one of these iPods and I need to replace the battery and the 80gig hard drive. Adding blue tooth would be awesome.
The glow up we didn’t know we needed.
Aaaahhhhh!!!!! Satisfying
Every time I watch your iPod videos it makes me want to go back to using my iPod classic :’)
Well you cannot do that as Apple no longer manufactures the iPodq
@@stephensnell5707 you can still use older ones today! Just got to buy one used :)
Awesome 👌
Hi, great job!
You might be able to remove some light scratches in aluminium by sanding it down with an orbital sander (200 grit) and putting a clear coat/spray lacquer to protect it. It might not like up perfectly with the rest of the device and deeper scratches might be impossible without leaving a crater, but it's worth experimenting with
That new back looks clean af
I for one would be very interested in bluetooth capabilities in an iPod. Great job on this one by the way.
Good job my friend
DankPods :
Repairs this with necromancy and ductape
This actually looks simple enough to build but the right funds.
I found one of these the other day in the drawer in the garage, and after I established it was working I chucked it back in the drawer with the rest of the old electrical gadgets 😏 until next time ...
I still don't get why people dislike Jeffreys vids, they're awesome!
Great job...
That was such a reflex looking at the date when he said "so I had to hotspot from my Blackberry..."
Nice video!
Awesome ❤
Man U inspired me to try restore my old iPhone 6s
Definitely want to see you install Bluetooth capability in that vintage piece 😍
Dankpods will be happy to see this :D
