- In the Spring of 2014 we took 11 days out of our very separate lives to head down to the Sonic Ranch, a studio nestled along the dusty American side of the Rio Grande outside El Paso, Texas. Midland was not so much a band as an experiment fueled by an assortment of spirits - but mostly tequila and the possibilities painted in our imaginations. We had no record label or manager and we had never played a show together. These recordings capture three friends, at a live-in studio in the desert, trying to make a dream come true.

I have a 3 yr old currently non verbal baby boy with Autism. His name is Makaio. And he listens solely to Midland. I post every day how before he goes to therapies he has to listen to Midland ♥️ When he wakes up we start the day by dancing and sometimes he tries to verbalize and say parts of the song. He loves the vocals but also he leans in and just takes in every instrument. It’s special 😭 Touches our hearts every time!

Please do not surrender, my son was the same, three years old and not a word, but I spent the following six moths entirely with him, teaching him to speak, to ask for whatever he needs. It was hard and tiring but after that time all was worth it, he is now 13, since then he speaks clearly, autism did not go away, but he is capable of living an independent life.

Okay everyone I'm a dancer. I dance everywhere including when I'm driving my truck which I dance sitting down period funny thing happened I get pulled over today while I'm listening to this song and pounding on the dashboard and dancing. I'm sitting here letting this drift in and out of my consciousness.... As I write this from a small, third world country... Called Wyoming.
My dad owned a small little am country station here when I was growing up, and I've worked in a few my self, and he'd let me sit in it, the station with him, late at night... Listening to new releases. And when ever an artist was hot... He'd come running out of the control room screaming...."this one's hot," or "for damn sure this one's gold!"
Any way.... hot air is just blowing through my window tonight... and I'm alternating older Midland songs with this here song..... And I swear... If I was a little drunker.... I'd flat be running out my back door screaming, at the top of my lungs..."this one's hot!"
