    I am American and had a sister-in-law from Alexandra Egypt. The jewelry is unbelievable but the ladies pictured wearing them are the true beauties.

    This is really great. I don’t know much about Egypt, but most of these ladies look European, not Egyptian. These ladies are beautiful. I always thought Egypt was a poor country, but these ladies are literally dripping in diamonds! If anyone knows more and would like to share their knowledge, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

      Egypt was a sophisticated, advanced, most beautiful and richest country in the world during the monarchy of 1922-1952. It was a democratic country and there was no distinction at all between Jews, Muslims, and Christians. They lived in peace. It even supported European countries with financial aid during the period of the World War, but unfortunately in 1952 a revolution occurred and they overthrew the government. The monarchy and the rulers of the state, a group of soldiers, destroyed the country and the economy, and the conditions in Egypt have now become bad Although I am not Egyptian, I am from Saudi Arabia, but when I watch ancient, classic Egyptian films, I feel sad and watch with pain. Egypt was beautiful, it looked like Paris.

    So many diamonds…it was almost too much to comprehend. Also just how sparkling they would each look with movement.
    Seeing that so many were sold was confusing to me and startling.

    Fawzia fouad , the 1st wife of the last shah of Iran was the most beautiful woman in the world . But a very neurotic and spoiled woman. She died some years ago.

    • @allanrinaldipaone9850
      @allanrinaldipaone9850 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fawzia was as you say an uncommonly beautiful woman whom I believe looked a lot like Hedy Lamar. As for her personality it was probably better than Meghan Markle for sure. At the time of her marriage, Tehran was still somewhat of a backwater compared to a continental and sophisticated city like Alexandria Egypt so perhaps that may have explained it somewhat. Of course the young shah had the right to be married three times according to Islamic law if I am correct. The woman whom he really wanted to marry was, however, HRH Princess Maria Gabriella of Italy who was not interested in the match. She is still alive and in her eighties. You may see pictures of her here on TH-cam. Her mother Queen Maria Jose' was also a striking beauty in her youth.

      Well actually Princess Fawzia had a very humble and kind personality…. But she went through very tough time after her divorce from the Shah of Iran as the Iranian didn’t allow her to see her daughter for many years , that’s why she had a depression, they called her the sad beauty, but after she got married to her second husband she had a great life even after the Egyptian Monarchy turned to a republic after the 1952 revolution ,we still have a great love and respect to her ❤️
