Trying to find binary right and wrong in history (or anything) is folly. We can assign better and worse people/ideologies/sides to a conflict, but actually saying the better side was fully in the right is misleading at best. The entire point of history is to learn from it, deciding "this side was right" blinds you to most of the lessons that are there, even if that was the objectively better side.

It's shocking how many parents and school board members can't recognize this and want things they see as bad removed from textbooks, as if knowing something happened will make people agree with it. Which then leads to it happening again because people don't know what went wrong the first time.

I own an AR180 with an original 2.75 x scope marked Armalite. I have "converted" several standard AR/NATO magazines and CHANGED THE FOLLOWERS to newer anti-tilt ones, I have had no feed problems. That was a 40 round mag in the video, more prone to problems. I find that the folding stock is a great design; I have had no problems with mine. The Barrel is a 1:12 twist and loves 55 gr. bullets 62 gr. works ok ,no key holing at 100 yards but I wouldn't run any heavier bullets . The piston gas system is flawless, clean and simple to clean. The bolt is similar to any AR 15 but not interchangeable. There is No interchangeability with AR15s on anything with the AR180. These rifles were made by Armalite in Costa Mesa California, Sterling in England and Howa in Japan. Another Piston operated AR style rifle is the Tiawanese T-91 those built uppers are still sold in the US by Wolf of Wolf Ammo and they work well also. Brownells has an upper based on the AR180 that is the most recent adaptation that they have developed. The video didn't really do the 180 much justice..IMO but Thanks anyway.

@@TheMikeTB Yeah the British were quite a bit late to the NATO 5.56 party, probably because they realized what a piece of worthless shit the AR-15 platform is, but also because their design team is primarily English, and there's only 5 of them, and you would quickly find 2 of them murdered, and 2 more gang-raping the 5th one (Wales joke)
but nonetheless, stealing German WW2 tech was always a viable option, but apparently the constant cycle of refreshing losses on the design team with new recruits, it seemed to lead to a mathematical feedback loop wherein each subsequent generation of death incidents would spur on the subconscious telepathical panic broadcast (we think this is related to the sensation of "your life flashes before your eyes") and at least some of the neurological pattern data would be uploaded to people within 8th z-wave range resulting in the 2 replacements becoming aware and emotionally responding to the news that the English are murderers and rapists, then passing that knowledge again with the TPB, and again, and again, and again, quickly leading to the 2 replacements having an enormous rage and superhuman will with an extraordinary capacity for violence, and as the 2 murdering rapists were aging and growing weaker, the 2 replacements would gain the upper hand, this entire process only took 3 minutes and 18 seconds, the balance of power would be equalized and then briefly tip into favoritism due to the unique astrological positioning of Mars that month, and the resulting TPB from the repeatedly dying old ones would result in a perfectly aligned Z-wave collision of supreme being energy, which would instantly give birth to a cosmic entity known as the Provisional Irish Republican Army

For example in the episode where Pam was kidnapped, and ceryl asked Cheryl for a bunch of money he mentioned that he borrowed it from his IRA and Cheryl confused the individual retirement account with the provisional IRA and asked what are they going to do kneecap you? Kneecapping was a popular punishment during the troubles by all the paramilitary organizations especially the provos and was usually done by shooting the My Little armalite through your knees

Also have ACOG on my newer AR-type and with the magnification, it's a bit more effective but the OEG site was really useful out to 100 yards or so. after removing the Armson and reinstalling It did take 2 or 3 shots to fully seat the sight in its mount. The 20 round mags were flawless in function as were the 30s (steel) I would never attempt a 40. Never had good feedback.

There's a window at the back of the receiver set, above the stock shank, to push the recoil plate/rod assembly forward which disengages the upper from the lower to pivot down/forward. Many will use a bullet nose to do this but anything else similar would do.

You have the scope mount & optic(if I spent my time panning for gold in my garden I could find my weight in gold before I would find the ar180 optic set up at a gun show!) but the ease of getting a (vast variety) scope mount + optic is also a game changer. To add to your story I read somewhere that the IRA bought parts, and all the stamped assay’s were flats, which they then bent and welded, also they built stems, Mac 9’s etc…anything you could build in a garden shed. And if you’ve ever watched Sons of Anarchy…why would Cali bikers import gun kits from Ireland…when they can get excellent Mexican AK’s (to any counterfeit pattern with or without markings)just over the border?

Hand guns are harder to get, but you can get some revolvers easier if its for hunting raccoon dogs for example. TLDR; yes and no, stupid regulations exist for the guns also.
Being able to get a gun permit for hunting, reguires you to have a hunting license, which can be acquired by taking a course that includes gun safety, hunting laws, learning to identify animals etc and then passing the final exam.
