For console, hold down “X” for Xbox and “square” for PlayStation, hold for a good 15-20 seconds, don’t face a dino or any structures. You cannot be mounted for the realm transport either. Took me forever to figure out, enjoy!

I think they made the realms functionally caves to give the Desmodus and Rock Drakes more of a purpose. Kinda forces you to use everything this map has to offer rather than just flying around on a Wyvern everywhere

the other maps are under the overworld, thus i believe they may have turned all under a certain hight level into caves automatically. its just a guess based on the megachelon breeding requirement where they did this for the deep ocean.

This is true I found 30 in the redwoods and snow before I even found 4 In Asgard
The spawn in the Asgard Red forest that includes Thylas is only a small amount. It also includes yutyrannus, maewing, R-daeodon, R-direwolf, R-snow owl, megaloceros, and *regular*, not R-Allos. Look out for those to get more Thylas to spawn. The name of the spawn is DinoSpawnEntriesMountain_Hard_Gen2_C
Edit: it also includes raptors, ankys, stegos, rexes, doedics, carnos and r-procoptodon, but these also spawn in the other major spawn in the red forest.
My suggestion to the unicorns name is the Sandman, cause of his ability to knock tames out super efficiently. The Sandman is a reference to a character in the Punch-Out series
The Sandman is also a pretty well known character that puts people to sleep, so that fits too!

For any xbox players, hold down X (might be square on PlayStation) to use the teleport function. (of course you do have to be looking away from dinos/structures to do this)

I personally turn on flyers in caves so i can use them in the other realms, but i dont like to abuse it with normal caves

people should let you play any way you want, you're putting out good content and having fun. I flat out cheat at almost every game I play. Games are meant to be fun, if are having fun you aren't robbing urself of an experience. Sometimes the "stupid" thing is telling other people how to enjoy their game, instead of admitting you aren't enjoying yours lol

@Syntac The bear cave in the ice does have 2 artifacts, in a way. The second one is accessed from the outside at lat 3.41, lon 32.79 behind a destructible rock. Artifact of the hunter

Maybe you can’t use flyers on Asgard because it’s under the map, maybe that makes it count as a cave? I’m not really sure how it works, just spitballing. It’d be kinda cool if they had separate map items you could make to map out the realms, maybe you’d have to fully explore each realm to fill out the map or something.
Yeah from what I have heard the other realms or technically caves.

From what I've heard, the developer specifically designed the other realms so that you aren't allowed to use flyers besides the desmodus. Not sure if it's true tho
Yea, they are caves. My buddy is a game designer and he said that's the easiest way to make the other maps
As far as my testing has gone, the "relms" are treated as caves, that's how you're able to have them. so because they have to be coded as caves cave rules must apply. if you knock something out in asgard mark it and relm hop back to midgar before the tame despawns you'll be able to see it above you or below you, because they're zoned as caves.

I didn’t realize you couldn’t fly in Asgard. The servers I play on has cave flyers. I do agree with you that it does take away from the adventure and the danger of caves. Kids now days just like shortcuts.
I found a regular thyla in the redwoods on this map and it has the exact colors of mystique. Let's just say I tamed it immediately.

SE teleport for asgard takes you right too the red forest area. I only use the Des for the loot crates in caves and the exilir. Using the Des screech will do more damage on marked enemies.

You should go to the redwood to search for melee r-thyla, I personally found lots of them at the green obi.
there are r thylas in the redwoods too they spawn with the regular ones (idk if thats addressed in this vid but i figured id jus say it)

You can also find the R counterpart of the Thylacoelo in the Redwoods as well, just in case you didn't know that. But anyways love the Thylacoelo you have btw and have a greay day.

The clever and pack artifact cave is a great place to do loot runs, 2 red drops and 2 yellows and the first two drops in the first area often respawn instantly
You should call one of the R-Thylas darth maul (because of the patterns on their face)
syntac is so clueless on console controls I want to see him jump into the overseer fight, connect an xbox controller and try to fight him without looking at the controls. I think it would be a hilarious challenge

The 100 days videos were without mods not even the dino storage that has the soul ball, each day in ark equals around 1hour, so he lasted 200hours without any mods, when he did the 2 100days videos, most people that are not good at the game criticize people that know better than them just to feel better, I understand you

There is an artifact cave in the red woods that has cave lvl r-thylas that im fairly certain are tamable. They have a torpor bar
I feel like not flying in caves adds to the adventure, too. Flying in the realms makes sense because that's basically a new overworld, you're exploring not avoiding all the challenges a cave would offer.
There is a cave on the north side beside two waterfalls in the redwood, in the cave there are so many high lvl maguera's wich give so much xp
Could you imagine if cryopods weren’t a thing - like I understand that this cave was designed for people with cryopods so they can get their Dino after the parkour part, but you’d be going in with pump shotties in groups otherwise 😂

hey buddy, wanted to say that the biggest lake in redwoods "otter lake" has a few Thylas spawns just around the lake! I find that area easier to scan

For element dust go into the magmasaur cave by the volcano and you can harvest it
Artifact of the Pack is for Megapithecus. Broodmother is Clever, Hunter and Massive, Megapithecus is Brute, Devourer and Pack, Dragon is Cunning, Immune, Skylord and Strong.

To "force" the Desmodus to heal, I usually just fly and spam right-click to drain Stamina. This way, when the Stamina regens, you lose Food and the bat can consume as many blood packs as your food meter allows.
If you're just traveling with the bat, I suggest clearing out its inventory of any blood pack/meat so its food meter goes down. Then when you start fighting something and losing HP, the bat will heal a lot cause he can consume plenty of Blood Packs.
I know it's too late but I hope you go with either Cosby or Bill.... When you said that I was driving down the road and I started laughing so hard I almost drove into oncoming traffic...
The artifact of the massive cave near forces you to use a desmodus, or a ton of grappling hooks, you’ll see if you ever go to the cave in this series

The teleportation button is holding square on PS4, but you can't activate it while mounted, cuz yk, creature inventory and whatnot. It's also a bit buggy when you have a shoulder mount on you.
You can find R-thyla in the redwoods they usually spawn near the castle, but it is uncommon, and normal thylas spawn there too
You can name your unicorn khabib nurmagomedov. He's a unicorn in the fact that he went undefeated his entire fighting career, that's extremely rare
