So in this episode I venture into the Horton Plains, there're two ways you can get to Horton Plains, one way is the route via the Pattipola Railway station, the road is called "World's End Road" and the name matches the route, LITERALLY. The other way is the route via Ohiya, also really beautiful.
But unfortunately, I couldn't ride both routes as Horton Plains was closed when I got there. The plains closes at 4.00 PM (1600h) sharp, and no one is allowed to take the trail. I got there at 4.15PM but I couldn't get though.
Although the route to the plains was really really amazing and dangerous too. I don't recommend anyone to stop to take photos in the forest as there's a lot of dangerous wildlife. You don't wanna end up in the news. Also take a vehicle with good ground clearance if you're willing to take the route. My bike was a 1980 Honda CD200, it handled the route like a champ !
