- Welcome to Movie Shortens. A man named Milton tracks down a gang of satanic cult worshipers who are looking for their leader, Jonah King. Milton is after them to rescue his only granddaughter after King murders his daughter and kidnaps her baby in order to sacrifice him at midnight on a full moon in Stillwater, an abandoned prison in Louisiana. Then he assists waitress Piper, first with her damaged car and then by protecting her from her abusive boyfriend. In exchange, she offers him a ride to Louisiana. They soon discover that they are being pursued by a mysterious stranger known as The Accountant. Who is The Accountant? And What is the secret behind?

He's like Jason Isaacs or John C Micginley. They always bring more to the role than the main characters actor most of the time but pretty much never get to be the main character.

Nicholas seems to really enjoy having his car crash or break down a lot. Even in that animatronic film he was in, his car broke down.
Solid, entertaining film. Worth a rental. I saw it in the theaters. I was not disappointed. The Accountant played by the William Fichter was the star of the show. I think the Accountant by himself deserves a mini series.
This reminds me of when he was in prison break

This movie had such potential. And it wasn’t bad. But basically all I remember is them driving down a literal highway to hell at the end and the song playing is NOT Highway to Hell. Seriously missed opportunity

If you noticed in the movie The Accountant never actually harmed anyone who did not deserve it. Every single person who did was a criminal or just plain bad.

The Accountant wasn't even a bad character if you notice in the movie. He never hurt or harmed anyone who was innocent. Every person he killed deserved it in some way.

For years man he used to be the second or third banana in a film he never got any recognition that's what happened to actor Michael Gross for years he always played the second or third banana he never got no recognition then he did to show family ties now he got recognition and then he did tremors with Reba McIntosh he was no longer a second or third banana no more now people know who he is

Man, this was a great movie! I even enjoyed listening to a recap of it. Nick is a great actor. I don't understand why the industry won't give him his flowers while he's still among us. But, we will all miss him when he's gone.
I actually had fun with this movie. It's over the top at times with cheesy cgi but it was still a fun popcorn film.

Satisfying to see Nic Cage being the spirit of vengeance in another movie plus William Fitchner getting robbed again is a win.
"Man escapes from hell" seems like a fitting description of an angry man declaring genocide on demons in hell for eons.
Movie trivia: The casting director wanted at least one actor who actually deserved to be in hell and chose Amber Heard.

The movie's style was basically Clive Barker(Hellraiser) meets Sam Raimi (Evil Dead), that being Clive's occult horror with Sam's tongue and cheek campiness. Also like the accountants bag, it looks like its made out human flash! Hollywood would not have the balls to make a movie like this these days.
This was one of my favorite movies. All I can see now is Amber Heard punching Johnny the way she was punching Frank and it makes me angry 😡
