As we continue traveling in the Philippines, we think Filipinos are really the friendliest people on Earth - and you'll see what we mean! This week, we flew from Manila to Cebu City and we're excited to show you our first impressions of this more laid-back city in the Philippines. It's actually is much more comfortable just watching at home, because SUGBO is scorching hot asf during the summer months, you 'em' sweating like pigs?
Cebu is a great place for food adventures. There is no Chinatown in Cebu City because the whole city itself is the chinatown as they say. Cebuano foods most are chinese influenced and also spanish. There is a lot of good siomai, ngohiong and dimsum places in Cebu and of course the Lechon. I hope you have a great time in Cebu.
I am so glad you are in the Philippines. I hope that you can make it to the world class boracay island. Just like what you did in Koh Samui I took care of people during the Covid-19 times. I have a lot of connections on the island and hope you seek out some of them if you go. Caticlan, the small area where the boats load to boracay has a small coffee shop and eatery called Shinzies Cafe. I would recommend a visit there if you have time.
Boracay island has super expensive and moderate accomodations. Felix hotel would be recommended by the location - center of D’Mall and new and has upper level eatery looking at the ocean.
My friends at OM bar would love to welcome you. Chad the Manager and the bouncers will show you a great time. Just mention Uncle David sent you. The Om bar is unusualy becasue of the open concept and partial covered areas.
Puka beach is great for a beer and looking at the small shells on the beach.
OLE has great spanish based foods in D’Mall is excellent.
I hope that you visit and please I will tell my friends to be on the look-out for you.
For a more modern side of Cebu City, do visit Ayala Mall in Cebu Business Park and Sugbo Mercado in I.T. Park.
If you're interested in seeing a breathtaking view of Cebu from the mountaintops, try the Tops lookout of Cebu. A few minutes away is the Temple of Leah, a Greek-inspired temple.
I hope you'll have a memorable experience here in Cebu city, Flora and Note. 😊

Yep, thats where I'm originally from and been there many times. Will be. headed there early next year with the family. Beaches, islands, food, resorts, hotels and condos galore....love it. You are right, Cebuanos are very friendly by nature, actually generally speaking most Filipinos are. Headed for retirement there in 3 years time. Enjoy!

Among the 3 oldest Taoist Temples in the World is in Cebu City and the other 2 are located in China and Indonesia.
That Temple has been built BEFORE the Gregorian Calendar has made.
Pilgrims all over Asia-Pacific Countries are flocking to Cebu City to visit the oldest Temple, from China, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Vietnam.. etc
