Sticky rice (puto maya), mango, hot chocolate is a common combo in Cebu. That’s a Thai connection right there. Plus sinigang soup is similar to tom yum too.

@Flora, hopia (好餅) is a Chinese pastry. It's been localised to several different versions wherever Chinese migrants travelled. They have it in my country, Indonesia, as well. Though we'll also call it bakpia (肉餅), lapia (朥餅), or simply pia (餅). It might seem unfamiliar to you because they are pronounced in Hokkien Chinese. But say it as houpeng, yukpeng, loupeng, or simply peng, and I'm sure a Cantonese speaker such as yourself can understand it. Actually, if you're familiar with any non-standard Cantonese dialects like Panyu dialect (番禺話), Xinhui dialect (新會話), or Zhongshan dialect (中山石岐話), we say piang in those dialects, which is in-between peng and pia.

Finally, a lovely couple from ASEAN neighbor explores other unpopular Filipino StreetFood. Cebu's StreetFood is rich, diverse and more hygienic than in Manila. But of course, Thailand is indisputably a winner across SoutheastAsia. Unfortunately, you missed the Linarang Bakasi , Sutukil, Pintos, Balbacua, Paklay, Kinilaw, Pancit Bam-i, Arroz Valenciana, Tabirak/Binignit and more. A full traditional Cebuano breakfast should be a slice of sweet Mango with PutoMaya (coconutmilk, lemongrass, sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf) and Hot Choco Sikwate. Almost similar to Thailand Khao Niaow Ma Muang. 👌Not just Sticky Rice with hotchoco or Champorado😄 Btw, Kudos to the gorgeous local guide. Love your video guys.👌👌👌

More hygienic in Manila lols Are you kidding me??.. Judging from this and other street food in Manila. Cebu didn't age well lols, oldest city but deprived of beautification.. The alley is dirty, it was shown on Shev and Dev and Craig and Rainas vlog lols..

@@lalaking.chinupa.sa.trosohan LOL, when people speak Bisaya does not mean they're Cebuanos. FYI, Manila Vendors are mostly come from North and South Luzon, Eastern Visayas and WesternMindanao.🙄But yeah there are Cebuanos in GreaterManila like the owners of Filinvest City, JG Summit, Julies,MLhuillier, Loalde, International Pharmaceuticals, Profood, Mandaue Foam, Golden ABC, CebuPac, Rico'sLechon, Bo's Coffee,MetroRetail Group,Aboitiz and more.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@@eliolovesgaymovies1117 Of course like any highly urbanized and densely populated places in the world, Cebu has also a dark and dirty alleys but not a massive hectares of dirty districts like the one in MetroManila. And what does dirty alleys have to do with the 'richer' variety of Cebuano StreetFoods?🤣🤣🤣Such a ridiculous whataboutism. Clearly you never been to Cebu. CARBON was never the entire Cebu.🤣🤣

Another challenge you can do is the CHICKENSTEIN. That's assembling a whole chicken (fr head to feet, plus the innards). If you closely observe those doing chicken barbecues, you can find all the different parts. You can even add a TOKNENENG (orange egg). Only the feathers will be missing. Always ingat on your adventures.

Pork blood not chicken blood. Sikwate is Cebuano for Chocolate drink. Tablea is the dark chocolate chuck you had in plastic. There's also aligator meat. hehehe.
