The human brain learns through making mistakes, it what we do as infants, in order to learn how to walk we have to learn how not to fall over and in the process we fall over again and again and again. Just keep your trading very small to begin with because while you're learning you're going to lose more than you win. Keep studying and learn how to minimise your losses. Also know that we all trade different with different styles and systems, it's not a winning system you need to learn, its money and risk management that will make or break a trader. So funny I had to do the opposite , I had to tell myself it’s ok to not be in front of the screen from 8am pre market till 4:00pm close or a little into after Market .. I am currently trying to find through back testing and keeping records which hours make most sense to my trading style to be trading .. your advice in your free you tube videos have been a massive help to me , more so than most of the paid services I’ve been in .. thank you for always sharing your knowledge and experience with us -
I'm loving this journey been trade for 18 month. Once I stopped fighting with myself and started doing deliberate practice things started to click. Committed to 6am 4 days a week. Will definitely do the spread sheet. Thank you for keeping it interesting and real.
@@Duomoinitiative I'm not sure. But I have reduced my position sizing this month to a maximum of 0.6% initially (I can scale into a bigger position if the situation permits). This has taken away almost all loss aversion and allowed me to be a lot more analytical in my approach. I'm not sure how true it will play out over the coming months though. However, I have managed to close all 3 positions that I have opened this week with a profit! Yet to copy 2 of them onto the forum, but I will do tomorrow!
The algos that I create normally have a builtin position sizing, so that the lot size increases with equity size and vice versa. The stat part is easy, just connect your account to Myfxbook.
Still lucky enough to be trading after 2 years and I am now starting to become profitable on a small scale my profit factor increased from .60 to 1.10 within 3 months. My trading system as follows. 1. I trade only two patterns both are soley based on momentum 2. One is called "initial high crossover breakout" the other " true triangle pattern" 3. I conduct a pre marjet routine 4. Looking for stocks in play 5. Check for (rvol) in pre market 6. Check for postive catalyst 7. Identify key levels before market opens 8. premarket high, prior day high, after hour high 9. Then I check daily chart and locate where is the 50/200 ema 10. Only concern with support levels once they become just that example break the premarket high or any other resistence that level is now support and thats when i pay attention i dont trade bounce plays so i don't care for support my strategy/setup begins when a (r) level is taken out 11. I then focus on my variables within my play book to make sure i don't deviate from my plans. 12. My social media influences (oliver velez) (smb capital) (duomo initiative) And thats been my trading system for the past 6 months at some point you have to stay the f#%k still! Get good trading one way before wanting to venture out to do other things. But yea in a nutshell thats it.
