Used to play that with a friend every day. We were super fast, other teens were totally envious and we were very proud. My favorite SNES game alongside Super Mario World and Street Fighter. Elf is kind of the best among the five. Long ranged, spams arrows like crazy and safe to play over all, like you can target chests that I believe can freeze you. This game brings a lot of memories.
lol the wyvern death sound was the Aguirus roar. and after watching more, i'm hearing more showa era godzilla monster noises. guess the king of dragons devs were godzilla fans too
i like how the 3 humans are "wizard fighter and cleric" but the other 2 are called "elf and dwarf" thats like having 5 characters called "black, engineer, policeman, firefighter, asian" where the middle 3 are white dudes
@@Narokh they were characters yes in the capcom d&d beatmup and the sequal...but my point is "Elf" and "Dwarf" are races...not classes. even the dnd game had a Cleric, Fighter, Wizard, Rogue ...they werent called "Human, Human, Human, and Half-elf"
@@Narokh bizarre ;) didnt know that, kind of funny though to generalize an entire race to the point where just the race itself is enough to indicate what theyre capable of as far as combat abilities and other skills are concerned ;)
The character I chose the first and only time I have ever played this Capcom title in MAME. In retrospect, probably not the best one to start out with... I don't think I got much further than the Royal Knights. (^_^)
Back then, Capcom wanted to created a DnD game, however, they didn't got the copyright yet, that's why this game named the King of dragons, in the year of 1994, Capcom finally got the copyright of DND, that's why they officially named DND game Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystera
Lot of gfx is coped to dnd tower of doom then... Lot of mosters too but the tod game have much more capcom feeling because so many special attack come from sf2 move 😂❤
This actually it is the Hardest Difficulty. This was a 1991 arcade game, let me teach you a lesson on 2024 for the knowledge of the game you still haven't learned today: On 1:14, on stage 2, that red orcs already appears by falling to the scene, only under Hardest difficulty that enemy on stage 2 will appears when you plays alone.

@@ryancory5958 D&D 1st edition did have Elf and Dwarf as a class, not race though. That distinction didn't come until later.

This looks very similar to one of my favorite games, Dungeon and Dragons: Shadow over Mystara
I think that this game is kinda like a precursor to the D&D games but just without the official licensing
