I too find the traditions and folklore of Japan exceptionally beautiful. There certainly is an intrinsic beauty to them. While I love many aspects of the culture, I am absolutely turned off by many of the backwards beliefs such as the near inhumane work hours, homophobia, etc. that remain persistent in modern Japanese culture. Loving an entire culture because of a few aspects certainly puts it into an idyllic light, however, maybe it was just poor phrasing.

she's not mitsuha. She's just a shrine Maiden.
I hope to visit Japan someday. I'm fascinated by the country and their culture.

A most beautiful dance. Healing.
SO. SYNCHRONIZED.
It's so scary how synchronized it is..

Quick question to ya'll, why didn't the shrine Maidens chew rice and spit to make sake or known as "Kuchikamizake" ? in the ritual?
I think because that was a purification dance , and it is a priestess dance just my guess though
Because this is real life and not an anime
