Ugh with the complications. Always something to troubleshoot. In this case...pipe placement. Although the visual aesthetics are the most stunning and satisfying, I feel like it's going to be a different level of *phew* once this project is done once and for all. Learning a lot about things I would not otherwise search for on my own. And I always love those kinds of lessons. Especially rooting for you on this one. Can't wait to see the staircase into the basement. So many priorities. This helps me to see my own goals and responsibilities and be assured that things take time. I've probably said that before. But I'm a' sayin' it again!
I love your patience and meticulousness. You are both very hard workers. An old house must be very interesting to work on. I hope the rest of this project goes smoothly, but of course that's probably too much to hope for.
It’s always something working with these old houses. Hopefully you can get things figured out and get the cool air that you need in the middle of summer 😊
Yep, you definitely have to be an old house lover to deal with the unexpected roadblocks to a "simple" fix. Happy Fathers Day, Mike! See you in the next episode. 💖💖
Hope the A/C project continues smoothly ("smoothly-er"?)...I just saw where much of the CONUS is expecting a record-hot July-Septemper...Ooofff...I fixed our A/C the other week; the condensate line seemed to get plugged periodically; I then discovered an "un-necessary" hole near the outlet of the pipe...plugged this w/ chewing gum! It's worked fine since!
It’s always something, huh? It never ends when you own an older house n then there’s gonna be problems even owning a newer one. Like I said, it never ends….its always something. Hopefully you can get back with it this weekend (maybe). Happy Father’s Day Mike. Hope Jeannie spoils you a little bit. Maybe breakfast in bed 😆. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🥰
So much goes into the systems of a house. Not to mention the add-ons by prior owners that are not up to par.( Putting it nicely) We found things leading nowhere. My hubby would get so frustrated and confused as to why. I could only imagine in a house 100+ years old. I'm sure you'll find a solution. Have a great week!!👋❤️🤍💙
Hope you guys are well! Haven't heard from you in a while, so just wanted to let you know you're being thought of and the hope that you're just busy and not unwell!
Wait, you can't have a sewer pipe venting into the crawl space! The entire point of having a vent is to get the sewer gas OUT of the house, not allow it to fill the crawl space!!! There is such a thing as an air admittance valve but that is not a wide open pipe end!!! Sewer gas is heavier than air and if present in great enough proportions can kill you!

We're working hard to finish it, unfortunately we're not filming it so we can get it done faster. Summer is bearing down hard..

I love it! That's definitely thinking outside the box.
It seems like it has gotten so hot so quickly this year also.
Yes, and summer is bearing down on us like a freight train.
Hope it all works out with the least amount of stress possible.
Lol! Thanks.
Doing renovations is never easy!
And we used to think that painting was hard work!

Hello! 💖
Every house we've owned has had something weird that makes us wonder what they were thinking..
Hope you guys are well! Haven't heard from you in a while, so just wanted to let you know you're being thought of and the hope that you're just busy and not unwell!
Thank you Emmy. We're doing well.
Maybe mini splits would solve some of these issues
They would solve problems but they don't look good in a historic house. We'll get this all back together shortly.

Yeah, there are a few sketchy things in this house.
Are you closing this channel
No, we're still here. We stopped filming so we could get the work under the house done. We're getting ready to make an update video.
