Oh Jeannie, I’m so sorry to hear about your cancer. I’m happy to hear you are now cancer free. I had no clue you were going through such a difficult time. You hid it from us very well. I’m wishing you both a lots of love, Doc❤
Jeanne, I would never have guessed you had went through cancer and recovery. So grateful that they got it all and you are starting to get your energy back. Praying for you and Mike in all that you do.🙏🏻❤️
Considering the battles you two have conquered, you have maintained things very well. We support you and are so happy to hear that Jeannie's recovery is coming along well. Hallelujah that they were able to get all of your cancer. I'm praying you regain all of your energy.
Dear Jeannie and Mike, what a rollercoaster you've been in. But you faught and won! Everybody understands that this process took and takes every drop of energy that you have. Are not well looked after vegetable patches important? No they are definitely not. Your had other, more important priorities, namely fight the cancer and get better. And everybody knows that recovery, both mental and fysical takes time and a lot of energy. So take your time to recover because nobody feels like you feel and can judge if your energy level is increasing. And I enjoy your vlogs even without well maintained vegetable patches😉
Jeanie I’m sorry to hear about your condition but happy to hear that they got it all. I would have never guessed that you didn’t have energy. You hid it well. The garden will be there when you are ready. Best of luck with your recovery. 😊😊
I'm glad to know that I'm not alone! I, too, had breast cancer. Mine was 13 years ago, and my energy never fully came back. I felt like I was a bit of a failure for not recovering my energy. I had chemo and radiation and herceptin infusions for a year. This is the new normal.
Your front garden is looking so beautiful! All your new plants from last year have really taken off. That is wonderful news that you are regaining your energy, Jeanie! ❤
Beautiful weather!! Yard work is never-ending. I'm so glad you are getting stronger. You two have weathered a lot over the last couple of years. New job, school, and illness. I appreciate your efforts to do content through it all. Wishing you better days ahead. 🤗❤️🤍💙
Jeannie, I am thrilled that you are doing great now. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. I was in stage 2 n had a complete mastectomy. Cancer hadn’t reached my lymph nodes (I thank God for that) I had a choice of chemo n radiation but I chose surgery n reconstruction. So far all is good. I’m so thankful I got mammogram every year n that’s how they found it. My surgery was quite a few years ago but I bet that’s probably why I still don’t have much energy also it doesn’t help having fibromyalgia either. I’m just so thankful your doing well n you have Mike there for support n definitely help you out when you just can’t do it all. Take care my friend. And God willing if next year comes you can work in the raised flower bed then. God bless you both. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🙏
Any time you can use what you already have is great, and so satisfying! Some people may say that the excavator just happening to come along at that exact moment is serendipitous - I call it the Hand of a caring God! So very cool!! As for the other, my sister has stage 3 - possibly stage 4 now - ovarian cancer. I know what she is going through with the infusions and other drugs to mitigate the side effects. I'm so glad you're starting to feel yourself again. Rooting for you!!
Jeannie, you are a strong lady, no mention of your health whatsoever. I don’t blame you for keeping silent. Glad you concentrated on you and everything went well. Being a homeowner means upkeep all the time. I’m interested in seeing how the new ductwork goes upstairs. Looking forward to next week.
I used the Black Fabric of Complete Uselessness too - under rocks for my California no lawn, water conserving efforts. Now I have to go out this weekend and pull weeds one by one through the Black Fabric of Complete Uselessness. Can't even mow my weeds because of the rocks. Argh!
Jeannie. You are such a worker….I had no idea how much you were struggling with energy and recovery after your cancer. God bless you and prayers for a complete and total healing and recovery🙏🏻😔 ❤️ I know you good care of her Mike. Looking forward to seeing the installation of the new heat/cooling system. ❤️🤗
It is amazing to think of all of the projects you have been able to tackle as you recover with what you describe as low energy. Best wishes for a return to full strength . Take good care of you - you are precious to 12 thousand followers. Thank you for sharing your experience. It will encourage others .
The both of you have been through major challenges these past few years. I'm very happy to hear that things are looking up and I see nothing but good in your future. Take care.
Great to see the yard being freed for summer. And Jeanie being freed from that long recovery. Also can’t wait to see the new old style workshop come up where the original brick structure used to be. One step at a time.
I understand you completely on loss of energy after breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 2018 with stage 2 invasive ductile carcinoma and finished treatment in 2021. It took me forever to get my energy back.
Oh my so sorry you had to go through that I'm very glad you two are doing better and I know Jeanni you have a good supportive husband and family to be with you so you will continue to stay healthy and very glad you were able to find time to film and share your great home and talents with me. And yay warmer weather looking forward to many more videos.

You probably already know, but I thought that I would mention it, that flex duct connectors are needed if you plan on connecting the metal duct directly to the unit, to dampen noise and vibrations.
Ginny, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But im thrilled you are getting better. I would like to recommend you use cardboard underneath the raised beds. It suppresses weeds and grass. The best part is that you don't have to work so hard. My prayers for you and your love. ❤
I have built my succulent garden with cardboard, not the cloth. Also, my front bed i expanded it over grass and clay soil. Layed down the cardboard and put mulch on top. You will be able to start planting quickly.
I love the Westminister church chimes. I know that because my clock has that exact chime. It chimes every 15 minutes and each time the chime get longer until the top of the hour, then it counts the hour. I hope you don't get a bill in the mail for stump removal. Kidding. That was very neighborly of him to take the initiative. Continued prayers for you Jeannie. I used to have those exact same butterflies in my yard and I named them "Stanley." Now you have a Stanley.
I wondered why you were taking one shovelful of dirt at a time and even asked myself if you have a wheelbarrow. Kind of sort of, that bucket on the tractor works just as well! 👍
We've been posting regularly for a few months. I see you're not subscribed. If you click the subscribe button, then the bell and choose "all", then youtube will tell you when new video pops up.
Be kind to yourself, and don't overdo it. You'll pay for it later. I was injured a number of years ago, and I realized I just can't do what I used to do. So I do what I can and stop. Then I continue with the task later. Give yourself some grace. The vine you found is smilax. It is a BEAR to get rid of. It can be cut down, but it does come back.

Thank you Wanda! There will be a vegetable patch in the future, we hope.
Glad to see the two of you toiling away again and glad you are getting your energy level back again Jeannie.
Yes! Thank you!
Jeanie I’m sorry to hear about your condition but happy to hear that they got it all. I would have never guessed that you didn’t have energy. You hid it well. The garden will be there when you are ready. Best of luck with your recovery. 😊😊
Thank you so much! We went back after we were done filming and cleaned it all up.

Shelly, thank you for sharing your story. We're so glad that you are doing well. Fibromyalgia will knock the energy right out of people....
So happy to hear you're cancer free, I just got my PET scan after my mastectomy and test results showing no cancer!
Wonderful news! May it stay gone too!

We pray for a miracle to turn that stage 4 backwards.

Thank you for the kind words! We're already planning our next activity.
So sorry about your cancer! My sister too has cancer and she is tired all of the time and no energy. Prayers that it is gone for good. Hugs!
Thank you Pam! We hope your sister gets her energy back soon.
Sorry to hear of your cancer. Glad you are now a survivor! Cleaning up the garden probably felt good!
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
Thank you!
I am sorry to hear that you had cancer ❤️🩹 So glad you are feeling better ….sending you healing prayers and strength 🙏

That's a great name for a useless product!
My Grandmother’s name was Genie, Annie Genie! We called her Gee-Gee. I will be praying for your health to be better and better.

So sorry, Jeanie! I'm also very happy they got it all! Get your yearly mammogram, ladies!
Yes, please do!
The both of you have been through major challenges these past few years. I'm very happy to hear that things are looking up and I see nothing but good in your future. Take care.
Jeannie, glad you’re doing well. And your hair looks beautiful!
Thank you so much!
So happy to hear you are well. Such a scary thing to go through. Everything is looking lovely.
It's been challenging these past years, but we're almost done with it.
Jeannie, so sorry to hear what you have been through. Prayers for your continued good health. Whatever you both do is amazing. Thank you!❤❤
Thank you for your support!
Thank you for talking about your helthfight! Be strong both of you! You are not alone!
Thank you so much! We've had a lot of challenges along the way.
Great to see the yard being freed for summer. And Jeanie being freed from that long recovery. Also can’t wait to see the new old style workshop come up where the original brick structure used to be. One step at a time.
One step indeed! We need the old house to give us a break. ;-)
I understand you completely on loss of energy after breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 2018 with stage 2 invasive ductile carcinoma and finished treatment in 2021. It took me forever to get my energy back.

Jeanie has been there for me when I was out of commission. "...In sickness and in health..."
Beautifully said.
Praise be to God for your recovery. You’ll be in my prayers for full restoration of your health.
Thank you so much!

Hello Heidi! I hope you're getting some nice weather in the PNW! :-)
Yep, always
work in an older home.
You probably already know, but I thought that I would mention it, that flex duct connectors are needed if you plan on connecting the metal duct directly to the unit, to dampen noise and vibrations.
True, yes. In this case, most of the ductwork is old flex so we can get by with a metal transition for now.

Glad you are feeling better. I'm a member of that club too.

I wondered why you were taking one shovelful of dirt at a time and even asked myself if you have a wheelbarrow. Kind of sort of, that bucket on the tractor works just as well! 👍
We just do that sometimes. :-)
Jeanie, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, stage 1, surgery and radiation. ❤
Same scenario here. How is it working out now, 6 years later?
@1834RestorationHouse I'm doing real good, but I get tired also.
Haven’t seen you in a long time. School semester must be done. Take care.

I accidentally mowed over some weed barrier and got it wrapped up around the blade of my mower. You may want to.check yours, if you haven't already. 🌹
Good idea, thanks!

The vine you found is smilax. It is a BEAR to get rid of. It can be cut down, but it does come back.
Thank you for the encouragement! We have that vine growing out in the forest and we hope to get rid of it.
