- Got another chance to explore all over Kathmandu and this time it was in a new area. I kept trying to eat as much Nepali foods as I could as I knew my time was coming to an end. I also decided to do it in style and stay at Nepal's most iconic hotel, Dwarika. A heavy price but worth it to stay in a place that makes you feel like you are stepping back in time.

You are doing more than our government to promote our local brand and business. Thank you Max.
The government had stopped the import of foreign snacks for about 6-7 months and only recently lifted the ban. Lay's chips, kurkure etc were banned from being imported into the company and that's when Nepali companies started taking over the market with similar products. The first snack you had was non existent about 6 months ago but now it's everywhere and the same goes for a lot of other junk food items.
That's a good thing , Indigenous snacks and food is always best

FYI, Khata is originally a Tibetan ceremonial scarf. It is mainly use for the welcome ceremonies during some important events and weddings. In America and Europe u have beautiful culture of giving flowers for greetings and we Tibetan use khata for greetings.

I grew up near baneshwor area and always used to wonder what the inside of Dwarika would look like whenever i passed through those streets , i am very grateful max that i got to see it though you!
My best guess is Max was an Indian in his past life, the way he enjoys the sweets, craves for Tea/Chai, the puri chole, and he actually eats with his hands and appreciates the locals so much, I really don't know what else to say about this young man, nice person, Thank you Max :)
