Tryna see this again in theaters in the next couple of days. This was one of the greatest heights in my life as a Godzilla fan. This movie deserves all the attention it's getting for its human characters, CGI, and storytelling. A more than worthy entry into the Godzilla franchise.
People making it seem the human characters carried the story, that's far from true. It's the fact that you can feel they're fear everytime Godzilla showed up.. Stop acting like you would see this film just for the human characters

Just saw this in the theater. Wow. I could see it again tomorrow. I *loved* the way they used the original Godzilla soundtrack, without making it sound hokey. The atomic breath scene was horrifying, especially the aftermath. The theater was silent. This movie is just in a different weight class altogether from basically every other Godzilla movie. Ridiculous how good this movie was, totally out of nowhere
God, there's just something about the way this Godzilla moves. Hes just lumbering along with these slow, methodical steps and then in a second flips to total rage. It's like he only has two modes and they're "UNRESTRAINED FURY" and "approach next target". I dunno, it's just eerie. It's like this THING is just a slow, inevitable engine of rage just mindlessly moving from one thing to destroy to the next.
