I am not a surfer, and I don't know how I came across this video or why I watched it, but the thing I will remember most are the images of the locals surfing on the donated boards. Right at the moment it was becoming awkward to watch the main characters surfing the waves near such an impoverished village, they showed footage of local surfers on the donated boards and explained the universal human need for stress relieving activities like surfing. I was unaware of surfing being popular in Africa, especially among impoverished people, and was also unaware of the program 'Provide the Slide' that donates boards to people who cannot normally afford them. It changed my mind about surfing, in a positive way, to be honest. To me it seems like the failure of the trip turned into an unexpected success. Well done!
Thank you for going to check because so many of us cannot. I have a folder filled with Google screen grabs of sand points at river mouths and estuaries. There are so many possibilities out there!
Really diggin' the background 🎶music🎶 y'all‼️. Sounds like🤔... an old Clint Eastwood, Spaghetti Western🤠. Friends, setting out on an amazing, yet dangerous adventure together... ✈️🛬 In search 🕵️🚗🚐🚣of... THE WAVE 🌊 BUT THEN...... the adventures ARE the wave 😁My inner child, has been playing with my phone again.... and I love it 😁
So was there never breaks there ever? Like was it a mis-read image that can happen on Google Earth? Or was it just the season, weather and tides when they were there? Bc the images in the article I linked here from look like sets of big swells.
