My sons school had a lockdown Thurs due to a kid had an airsoft gun. I found out through my ring and not thru the school. The school text me like an hour after school was released. Ridiculous. And the students never know why they are going on lockdown so no I don't think their training is efficient.
This is not good protocol regarding communication with parents when there is a Lockdown at their child/children's school. The parent learned about this after school ended for the day and a ring I guess from her cell phone 🤔
In the same week this happens here in Osceola Florida the Sheriff wants to Remove Resource Officer's from Elementary Schools and replace them with school Volunteers. 😒 #SOSOSCEOLAFL
School Volunteers 🙄😮😳🤔 to do what? Would the volunteers be trained for 6-8 weeks in how/ when to use a gun, terrorist invasions and school shootings etc. How will these volunteers be? Will there be extensive Background checking on each volunteer? I mean checking backgrounds on all races of volunteers.
@@malakahbanathyasharahla2302 I'm a disabled mom of a 12-year-old I am not working at the time but I am registered as a volunteer any parent can volunteer as long as you don't have a felony background you need to be a volunteer to do anything at your child's School if you want to go on the campus to have lunch with your child if you want to go to special events that are on campus you need to have your volunteer form filled out and accepted and I am the last person you want at the front desk of a school waiting for an attacker because I will pass out of fear I am not trained for that and that's what I mean they should have people trained to protect these kids at these schools it's just crazy it's something I can't believe.
I want to hear her side of the story like who took him to the store for the guns knowing grandpa was a convicted felon and admittedly said he is not to be allowed around guns...

Train every Teacher how to handle a gun and give them guns to protect the children at ALL schools!!! Teachers need to feel protected too!! These cops in Uvalde School stood around and did nothing while innocent children were getting killed!!!
Teachers should not be required to carry guns. They have enough responsibility dealing with children and the administration, especially special needs students. Should this become requirement many teachers will leave. Teachers are leaving without requiring carrying guns, and many school districts are having problems recruiting teachers.

"Poor" is mostly due to choices!! Don't get pregnant when you can't provide for, protect, nurture, etc. When you don't have the time (or the interest) in raising responsible, moral humans. Don't waste money, don't do illegal activities. Women don't hook up with men who aren't going to be responsible fathers and children! If you look at most "poor" families, there are REASONS they're in their situation! It's not INEQUALITY!
