I use Gelatos alot and these do look very similar. Having seen some different stuff about these, I think the main differences are the fact that you can't stamp with them (as someone has already said), how they react with other wet media (ie they don't move unless you touch them) and I think the opacity looks different too. I love Gelatos but I can't wait to get the core Distress browns pack. Also be great to see how/if they work colouring other media like texture paste.
...amo esses produtos; apreciei a demonstração do Collage Mediums (4:27).
+Susan Thompson One distinct difference was pointed out in another video. Distress crayons cannot be used on rubber stamps in the way gelatos can. With gelatos, you can scribble color directly onto a stamp, spritz with water, and get an image. You cannot do that with Distress crayons. I also wonder if these crayons are more permanent than gelatos. It's hard to tell from the demos. My first impression is that these crayons are very similar to gelatos but not the same.
She's a British crafter. She used to be on QVCUK and then when to another shopping channel. She has also designed lines stamps, papers etc. They were heavily influenced by US designers and I think she's probably struggled now the American products are more readily available here. I'm not a fan but she was the person who started me crafting. There are a number of tales of her ousting anyone who might be a threat to her.
the crayons remind me of neocolorsII -blend/smudge those too- In Love with the mediums and love the short handled brush set!!

How are these crayons different from gelatos?
+Susan Thompson There not.. just another copy-cat item but with the Tim Holtz name you can bet its much more money.

Who is she?

Anne-Marie Stevenson Oh... one of THOSE crating chicks... she would get along with the creator of the MISTI then... !
They don't look any different from Gelatos to me, except that they are in Distress colors.
