- In today's video, we install RSR super down lowering springs. The job is pretty easy, just need the right tools! I encourage you to DIY! I try to be as specific and detailed as possible! Align the top plate with the strut the down tab on the top plate must align with the bolt perch on the strut very key
Very informative tutorial. It looks way better lowered, sits just right. I'm in London UK, and I have the 2019 Corolla Hybrid Estate, which would look much better with lowered springs. Good job ,well done.

From a complete beginner standpoint, how realistic/doable would you say installing these springs be? The only car work I've done are oil changes and such maintenance, and installing spoilers and diffuser/splitter. And is it a 2 man job?
Super doable! If you take your time and go step by step… you’ll get it done! Don’t worry how long it’s going to take you. Do it with all the effort you have and you’ll have great quality work! Number 1 step on a DIY have full confidence in yourself! Believe in yourself Bc I believe in you bro! 🙏🏽🔥

Yes, I believe springs do fit on the sedan! No issues whatsoever!

Love the video. Just put RSR super downs on my 2021 XSE and have faults for abs, traction, cruise control rev matching and every driving aid is disabled. Is this a wheel speed sensor or something more? Any insight would be helpful.
It can be many things. You have to retrack your steps on everything you did while putting on the springs. I have a feeling something was accidentally cut while installing the springs. If you get a scan tool, and get me the code. I can give you a more general area where to look!

Sweet ride sir! I have the sedan and that same RSR suspensions. But my car now have a noise when you turn right to left or viceversa. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Can you drive straight over a speed bump without scrapping or getting stuck? I want to lower my Corolla but not if it means I gotta go over them diagonally. There _is_ such a thing as too low.
Unfortunately you have to go sideways sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes you do & you will scape the subframe!

@@GeovanisGarage that is the down size, 77 is super down, 78 is 1 inch down, another quest ion how about those sensor, when you lower the car it doesn’t affect them,, Toyota sense.
Ahhhh the super down is the way to go! The down just eliminates the rear gap & the super down gives you great fitment 😍🔥

Hey I went to the dealership for installing my low spring, I asked a quote, is it necessary that it needs to calibrate the Toyota sense sensor?
What are the torque specs for the nuts and bolts when you put everything back together?
Is it okay to install these on stock struts. I just bought some and Im worried I will blow the struts
Were the tires the only thing that required torquing?
No lol. Every bolt needs torquing. It’s just that if you tighten all the other bolts with good amount of hand torque you will be fine.

So, I have an XSE hatchback...it is quite low enough. Lowering it further will buy you nothing but body damage.

also, i havnt even looked but how is the headlamp level adjustment on these? 2in drop means huge difference in headlight throw
Only able to adjust the toe! Can’t adjust camber without camber bolts or camber arms!
No the headlights are fine! No need to adjust!

Still a smooth ride bro! Just feel stiffer! I do road trips & my comfort level is 9/10!
When you put the new springs back in did you compress it again or tighten it down with the drill?
When you put the RSRs you can just compress it with your hand and tighten the nut!
Do you have underglow strips? Also if so did you have too drill on car too install underglow strips?

Did you keep the stock shocks? I hear after you lower it they blow is that true??
they wont blow immediately. just slightly quick then normal. But nothing to be concerned about!

Your wheel will go straight through your wheel well when you hit a bump, dip and/or pothole.

You hit the subframe bolt, get ready for a lot of those on speed bumps 😂 you’re good tho! No need to check!

I don’t have a garage so doing coilovers probably won’t work with all the things you had to remove, and screw in. Is it ok to ask you a question later if I need a question about installing the front, or rear lip? I’m sure I’ll get it by watching your video, but help is always good!

I bought spacers a while back and only have them on the front. I can't find the emails and I don't remember what size. What size do you think I need to have a good fit? I lowered my car and i think they wer 25 mm spacers not sure, do you have any input?

Yeah I can! All I do is drive on a slab of wood and it clears it perfectly!

It’s just a little stiff but you still can feel the same comfort as OEM springs! It’s super manageable!
