Nice Nelson! and you are right the mouthpiece you are playing here is way tamer but you still make it do what it do. I just finally met Nelson last night after the show here in Vegas or else I would have traveled to Denver to see him there. Thanks Nelson for spending the time to talk gear and sharing some knowledge also he's a super Nice guy :)
Houston: we have LIFT-OFF. Oh my God, I cannot believe how you're reaching for the sky on this track, especially from 04.18 minutes and onwards. Totally amazing improvs. Have been listening to you since 1989 (at age 14). 30 years and counting... Blessings to you Nelson!
I asked Theo Wanne from their website and they say it's a mantra 8, which makes sense because it's warmer than any other mouthpiece I have seen him play (the mantra has a medium long roll over baffle) Don't know about the ligature though. I asked them beacuse I heard a difference right away, I love it!
@@TonyAguirreJazz I see what you mean, but at the same time I feel metal gives a fuller timbre, my problem is I struggle just a little bit more on metal so I stick with rubber too, though I prefer the sound of metal mps.. I occasionally play on a Beecher bellite but again, too much struggle. And yes, 650 is too much especially since I can't get to try before I eventually buy one. Pains
MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect!!!!!
It's amazing, how every song on this album is great!
You still blow me away my friend, even after all these years. As you always say, keep pushing.
So good to hear, thank you for the power of your melodies 🎷🎼

Another great track. What is that mouthpiece and ligature setup??

@@giovannifranzetti6214 $650 for a MPC is insane, I sound the same on a Vandoren as I do a NY Meyer
