    YAY for white and gray. YAY for curtain rods (makes it so easy to change curtains). YAY for recliners (hubby with sleep apnea has to sleep in one). Which makes the camp queen ok with us as I am all of 5’2”! You’re right about the table. Change out the legs. Hate to lose frig when traveling but I put up with that now. Love where the pantry is. Not a fan of outdoor kitchens but that would give a place to put lunch type food when traveling so losing frig inside is not so bad. Really like this one in general.

    I noticed the sheer curtains right off. I love them. Gives it a homey feel.
    That pantry tho!! You could hide a 💀 body in there. You know what I like the most is the bright color in the pantry. I need a flash light to see anything in my campers pantry. Drives me crazy.

    You are 100% right about the TV location !! Why does it seem that so many trailer manufacturers have never used a TV before ? I would say 70% + of the trailers you show have the TV to high or at the wrong angle to view sitting down . I know people will say but you camp to enjoy the outdoors , yes your right but I also like to watch movies while on vacation ! Anyways as always you put out another wonderful video keep up the great work .

      I’d lower the tv to the point where a fireplace could be installed. I have a fireplace now. When I first bought my camper, I thought it was more or less pointless. Now, when I buy again, no fireplace is a deal breaker.

    Minor nitpick. I've only recently become aware of this because I have the 'problem' in my 2022 26DJSE. I'll bet money you can't open that fridge door enough to change the position of the shelves. Never thought about it till I discovered I can't in mine. Minor problem, but will annoy you if the shelves aren't in there to your liking.
    Also, how on earth would you get the fridge out if it needed replaced? Slide has to come out? Yikes.

  • @joycemaurer3588
    @joycemaurer3588 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yes on the storage over the tv. When you have storage spaces divided, you can then categorize the spaces. Upper for one thing, lower for something else! LOVE the division between living and kitchen.

  • @kbrowniiee
    @kbrowniiee ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The saving grace for the refrigerator being blocked in road mode is that the slide is a cable slide so it can be put out partially and then retracted unlike the swintec slides

    Very nice Vibe! I think I left a comment on the other Vibe you reviewed some time ago, but I'll leave another one. :) We bought our 2020 28RL Vibe in the Fall of 2019. Have used it 4 camping seasons now....4-5 times per year. Love it! I know there are higher end trailers out there, but for what you get and what you pay, the Vibe's are hard to beat. (We paid 28k in 2019 for a 34' trailer bumper to ball) Everything has held up great, we've had no issues. Well, I did have to do a little repair on a recliner, but that's not a "camper" issue. I have no complaints about the build quality...or anything else for that matter. I'm 6'1" and the camp queen works for me. Yea, my feet hang off. But that's not a deal breaker for me. TONS of storage, awesome kitchen with an island, 12v large fridge that cools super quick. Love it, keeping it! (but will still watch Josh's videos cuz he does great reviews. :)

    Where the pantry is by the door put the fridge there. Where the fridge is put the pantry. Take out the dinette and make a LONGGG CUSHY COUCH with a removable table but one that telescopes. Definitely a fireplace cause all the storage would be moved. Televator TV. Needs rain shower n maybe nice stand up bowl sink. EAST WEST BED with chest of drawers n cabinets by bed. More solar. Love graphics.
    Love the light colors. Love Vibe

    i'd move that sink over where the linen is and put a sliding door there. raise the linen up over the sink and you still have room under the sink for more, or should at least then extend that wall where the toilet is and turn the toilet a little more to the front

  • @markthompson7503
    @markthompson7503 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I say it all the time and maybe I am the only one but get rid of the dinette, shorten the width of the slide, and voila, room to slide into the bath and bedroom.

    I must've missed this one. Holy cow. I LOVE THIS!!!! They need to rack and pinion that slide. No way I'd buy it with that cable slide. C'mon maaaan. Give us 2 large cargo doors. If we want to install a sliding tray, it won't be able to go through that smaller door. Also need to make it 50amp with potential for 2nd A/C

    Josh, I like how they planned this travel trailer. Some of it reminds me of the 2003 Alpenlite 28RK model that I still have. But by combining the couch and table together, it opens up so much more. The solar needs to be more than 200 for those that dry camp out here in the desert. I’m sure more can be added. Now for a 1/2 ton, I had one at first because I was told it would pull my 28 foot RV. But I ended up replacing my rear end twice because of the weight of my RV. Ended up buying a 3/4 ton and it wasn’t a knuckle breaker when towing it. Great find, Josh!!!!

  • @chuckyfiche
    @chuckyfiche ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think if you need Solar to charge your batteries, you need more than 200 watts and you likely need to go with Lithium batteries, not lead-acid or AGM. Of course, habits and other variables such as how you use the trailer, absorption or compressor fridge, use of Inverter all come into play. In my limited time with our new solar set-up, I think 100Ah Lithium battery and 300 Watt solar would be the ideal starting point.

    Hey Josh, Tex here. Nice camper. I like the graphics, living room closet, and the behind bedroom closet storage looks like it would work for CPAP machines. Road mode does sorta suck, not Cracker Barrel stay over friendly without opening up you are correct on that. What kind of slide system was it? Glad to hear my 2003 Silverado 1500 HD potentially will pull it.

  • @mrdonigan
    @mrdonigan ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'd LOVE a shorter version of this. I don't need theatre seating and a dinette. I'd remove one and remove the pantry to shorten this, and it's the perfect layout for my wife and I. Most smaller RVs require you to walk through the bathroom to get in and out of the bedroom. That's always been a complaint of mine. I like how this one is addresses that so no one is held captive in the bedroom if someone else is in the bathroom.

    Really love the kitchen and storage closet, although it needs spots to hang coats! The storage bins under the bed are nice, as is the show cubby. Love the curtains and color scheme but the knee knocker dinette being light fabric is no bueno for our dogs! Bathroom storage is functional and adequate. Sofa is great and tv is huge. Needs an electric fireplace to be perfect! Love the length. Needs a clip to store the stabilizer tool, electric stabilizers would be better. Griddle for outdoor kitchen would be better than induction cooktop. Attached ladder would be better. One slide is a definite plus, less things that can go wrong!

    I like the window treatments way more than the box things. I think I would like the electric fireplace over the storage in this particular model. If it's a family bunk model, please give me more storage. I'd like big doors on both sides.
    I don't profess to be the smartest guy, but for the outdoor kitchen, if they make the door open upwards then the stove top can slide the other direction staying under the awning.

    Roadmode not the greatest, but the rest of this unit looks great. And being 5'9" definitely has its advantages. ... that RV queen works fine :) We kind of laughed when our trailer came with the electric fireplace, but we have gotten so used to it taking the chill off in some early mornings, that I think I would miss not having one now.... the thing seems to have spoiled me. Great review as always.

    I like this one. Pantry would be better with adjustable/collapsible shelves with a closet rod and add an electrical outlet. I agree splitting the cabinets and moving the TV down would be nice. A walk through bathroom might help road mode so it would be usable for Walmart nights on the trip. I think they did the best they could with the camp kitchen. I don't think giving up garbage can storage under the sink in the kitchen would be worth expanding the outdoor kitchen. I true queen would be nice if they could squeeze a couple of inches somewhere. Love the way they did the bedside storage. Under the bed some drawers would be nice instead of the storage boxes. I wish the bumper had a hitch to put on a bike carrier/storage rack.

    Take the storage below the TV and remove it. Put a fireplace there, lower the TV and then putt storage above the TV. The dinette really looks cheap, is there a table and chair swap? It is also a big miss on the short awning, there is plenty of room to extend forward. There should be very little gray water from the kitchen so they should have extended the linds to drain from one outlet. Even if they had to reduce the pipe size. Nice unit, has amny good features but needs a few litttle adjustments.

No 12V outlet near the bed for my CPAP, but rather 110V and USB (adapter and transformer do not power it from our lithium batteries because our RV came with a converter but not an inverter). We replaced the cheap dangerous Chinese tires with Goodyear Endurance tires. We love the kitchen space, living area and bathroom.

    I notice when you click on Vibe on the Forest River site, you are essentially asked to choose, East Coast or West Coast. I really like the Vibe 27fk but it seems it's only a West Coast travel trailer. What specifically do you get on that model that makes it West Coast? I know It's comparable to the other under 30' Front kitchen models, like Surveyor, Salem and Freedom Express, etc. but I like the cabinets over the windshield, the pivot door, the bed slide and several other minor differences (but as cool as I find the Vibe 27fk, it definitely needs a king bed).

    Question. There are so many grand names of RV’s out there. You have Living Vehicle (best quality and most expensive ever made), Vibe, Imagine, Brinkley, Brookstone, Jayco, etc just for starters. How many brand names are there, and what market share percentage does each one have? How can they all stay in business? I realize that there are primarily 4 big companies that own the vast majority of brand names, but it amazes me how they have enough sales to justify them being made. Are the junkyards full of old campers? I know they can last awhile, but cars get recycled, but do RV’s get recycled like vehicles? I’m thinking not???

    Lose the bedroom and the fridge while towing. Today, this should have all access. Bummer. My 28 RLS cougar has it all and that’s 2017.

      I think I saw night shades. I asked too soon. Is the slide the type you can only open a little? That would help the road mode problem.

    Josh and RV community- advice requested…. I snore like an 1800# drunken bear, and my wife has a dream of spending our first 5 yrs of retirement in an RV, we can’t sleep in the same room in our house hardly any more. The best design I’ve found is a class C with south bed and walkthrough bath with double door to separate us. Methods to reduce snoring doesn’t work. Any Rv models out there that might be better than this idea? Thanks everyone!!!

      Solar doesn’t run anything
      It only charges batteries
      Solar makes 12v power
      Not the big 110 power large appliances need
