To suggest a show topic: with starters going only 5, teams typically use 4 guys to finish. Even if all 4 are great pitchers, odds are that 1 of them will not be as sharp as usual any given day. So the benefit of starters focusing on power and missing the 3rd time around the lineup might be offset by the risk of failure of the long string of game finishers. If I’m a team executive I would study this. Would love to hear your takes on this.
Idk why guys keep saying Corbin is definitely leaving Baltimore . He’s a guy the new ownership can make a statement signing and not to mention the guy looks like he’s having fun this season.

He really doesn't have any violent motion in his delivery and accelerates at a constant pace ..like easy controlled spin and velocity. We'll see though. Don't get this guy hurt by pushing him please. He's been a lot of fun to watch on the mound.
I play ESPN fantasy baseball, and on their platform Skubal does not have a scheduled start with the Tigers next week. The rest of the Tigers starting rotation is scheduled... just a little weird... Flaherty is scheduled for a double start, but no Skubal
Send us your best in a value-plus trade. I don't think Harris has the stuff to trade Skubal. Most likely will try to re-sign and get trumped by a higher offer.
If not, we'll go for Crochet or maybe Eovaldi. Not sure if they'll pay too much to get Miller. I like Tanner Scott. Less expensive, he's left handed and has closing experience.

As an Orioles fan, in my opinion, the organization has too many young guys they are going to need to pay massive contracts to. Burnes is going to be THE coveted free agent pitcher in the off-season. It is very, very unlikely that Baltimore pays out the gigantic contract it’s going to take to retain Burnes. They traded for him to make a run this year, nothing more. New ownership is great, but we aren’t going to shoot up to one of the highest payrolls in one season.
