Thanks Kev. I enjoy making gauge 1 models. If you decide to make one it's well within your capability and for the smaller scale it's not very expensive on materials that I've mostly made from stock. I designed and made my own cylinders from 1-5/8'' solid bronze bar. The only castings I used were for the wheels and tender axle guards but these were not very expensive from Walsall Model Industries. You can also get lots of info from G!MRA. I enjoy watching your videos too. Rob
You don't need any big or expensive machinery as all the parts for gauge 1 are small. I just have a small bench lathe and small milling machine. Some parts can be made with just hand tools files etc. I also have a propane gas torch for silver soldering copper boilers.
@@rob60 Thank you for the info. I have been interested in live steam for a month or so now but don't have the money to buy anything bigger than an Accucraft Ruby so knowing what I need to make one really helps.
Mesmerizing, Rob. Beautiful little steamer!
Nice! Checking your vids to find the follow-up after she's been painted.
All credit to you, that’s a lovely loco!
Hi rob

Great runner. Is that a LBSC design? Passengers will certainly get to the next station on time.
Thanks. Yes it is an LBSC design Girton but I made my own modifications with my own design of cylinders and valves etc.
Very good channel, Greetings from Argentina, congratulations!!
Thanks
Thanks for sharing! What’s the tightest radius curves you’ve used on your layout please?
I have about 8ft radius on my track.
What kind of machining did you need to do to make this?
