    bro seriously, this channel is excellent across the board. comprehensive, easy to follow and the stretch routines are worth your weight in gold.

    Man, I never learned switch but after watching your videos, I realized that my frontsides and royales are switch. I grind with my right foot but use my left for the frontsides and royales. I love your channel and I'm learning more than I have in the last 15 years

    Had my first day on aggressive inlines a couple days ago. Got a makio so tried a frontside. Bashed my shin into the metal edge. It went Royale. Such a different mindset than skateboarding.. on a board I'm used to being able to bail on a trick and kick the board away. On blades you just gotta send it. Sweet vid! Definitely learning stuff I want to try when I get better control.

    It's crazy, I am an "older" blader like you and I watch your videos and think that you are still so amazing, because you are honestly. Then to see you struggle on the switch boot tricks, which come so easily to me, makes you seem human again. Lol. When I was younger and really into blading I made sure to learn every trick switch, I had to push myself, we all did, our crew consisted of Fish and Franco Cammayo back then. Unfortunately I quit like an idiot and just got back into after years off a little while ago.

    Awesome man. I've been really trying to learn boot tricks but the few times I've tried a royale i've totally wiped out. Got the fear! You made me realise I should have my strong foot at the back though. So I've been trying to do it switch this whole time!? Can't wait to get back on my p rail and try. Your content is inspiring!

    Acosta, you should make a video on how to fall. Falling hip first on a p rail sucks, falling down a quarter pipe fakie sucks, and I feel like you could shed some very nice light on how to react the best to that moment before a fall.

    Thanks a lot for this great practice rail session, very much inspirational, it shows us struggling is okay, right 😄
    I made a hard fall and hurt both of my wrists last time I went to skate park, I was trying to get familiar with half pipe, not a big one though,
    waiting for my recovery and later will return back to my practice rail, also building a 2' quarter pipe, it is almost finished
    waiting for new videos, please keep it up

      We all struggle, i think its part of pushing past limits and growing. I am sorry about your recent injury. I have broken/sprained my wrist many times in different ways. Not fun and you end up missing skating, i can relate. Heal up and get back out there soon. That quarter sounds fun!

    • @VandKoala
      @VandKoala 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Learn on the small one and when you feel some tricks are getting really natural get yourself a big taller one. I have two and find it a perfect setup. Small one for new scary tricks and the bigger one for the stuff i know how to land :)

    hey acosta blades. please respond to this because i want to know if this is something i should or should not be doing. i am just getting back into aggressive inline skating after about maybe 11 years. i have forgotten all muscle memory when it comes to jumping and grinding. believe it or not since i have not aggressive inline skated in so long i am actually chicken shit to jump up and grind on a PVC pipe rail that is only 3 to 4 inches off the ground and the PVC pipe rail is in the grass and i am rolling up to it at a slow speed from the drive way into the rail in the grass. so my main point here is that i am using a 10 foot piece of 4x6 wood and i am practicing my grinds by stall grinding as some people call it. is this something i should be doing? thanks and please let me know bro. love your videos man

    @ 8:43 you say "If you keep your hands up you have a better chance of catching yourself." What do you mean by this... your hands will stabilize you more if up instead of down low?

    • @acostablades8138
      @acostablades8138  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes if our hands are down its like our points of balance is bellow us. With them up it creates a pull upward to then stabilize with. Hope that helps

    Been out of the game for 7 years but this isn’t the first channel where I’ve heard it called a ‘star grind’. Was their a shortening of the name since I’ve been out or was this to ‘PG’ it, or YT algorithm censoring content? When people say it, my first thought is ‘Starry Night’ but only old people call a AO TP that.

    • @acostablades8138
      @acostablades8138  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think its just about making the tricks more kid/family friendly. Could you imagine teaching a bunch of 10yr olds porn star grinds in front of parents or school admins lol or better yet search how to do a porn star grind. I don't think you'll find a rollerblade trick that way lol
      Sunny days and starry nights were the OG names

  • @endrixrassk3468
    @endrixrassk3468 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a question I hope you respond I want to get a flatline skate instead of a anti rocker but I'm starting off completely new I've never really done tricks I only know the very basics of rollerblading and I'm really worried about the wheelbite but I found a pair that the USD areon 80 And I was planning on getting them but I'm worried about how well it'll grind because I want to be able to do tricks also outside of a skate park and since I don't live in a city The "City" we do have has concrete and roads that aren't that nice so that's why I want the 80 mm wheels and that's why I want the flat setup. So how hard do you think it is to learn grinds on an aggressive flat line skates? And do you think it would be a good choice for a beginner to start with a flat line skate
