I have Graptopetalum paraguayense (which is pretty easy to spot), Chante, Mexican Giant, and Graptopesedum ghosty (I think mine is a Grap. Ghosty for now). I'm amazed at how you can differentiate them and your video give me a huge help! Thanks a lot, LizK!!!
I can always interchange them both unless they’re labeled. When put together without the label they are the same to me . They are beautiful, though. Thanks for sharing them. The pale green color under the sun is almost translucent like a gemstone aquamarine!
When you listen to Liz and then think to yourself ~ you know nothing at all. Seriously the detail is mind blowing!🤯🤯you are amazing Liz. Funny, amazing and clearly a light worker for succulents.❤💕🥰
You're giving me more credit that I deserve. Please don't be too hard on yourself. I only know these things because I have killed so many of them. 😂 Thanks for watching.
I thought I had a few, but WOW! I can't hold a candle to your collection. I subscribed and enjoy your channel, BTW. I was given a succulent that I have yet to identify but it looks a lot like the ones you're handling. I think its a Graptopetalum. It was given to me by someone whose grandmother had it and it got so overgrown and "leggy" she thought it was a disaster. I'm in the process of "dismembering" the mother plant and potting up stems, petals, ends and pieces etc. She thought is was a wreck and it was, in a manner of speaking. I am not an expert in this area, but I think it was simply excessive and something had to be done. I think what I'm doing with it will impress her in a few short weeks. Wish me luck. Thanks for your very informative videos!
Thank you, Liz, for clearing the confusion 😍 I have the Ghost plant, but I think the ghosty tricolour is cute and beautiful pink. Wish I could have one in the future 🥰
I bought like a bunch of GHOST PLANTS from a seller who labelled it as such. But then I just realized that they're all Ghosties. I love Ghosty! I just had this desire to have atleast a ghost plant. Luckily, I was able to get a ghost plant but it was pricey probably coz of the high demand. Thanks for this video Liz.
They grow best in full sun. If newly acquired, it needs to be introduced to sunlight slowly so it doesn't burn. The coldest my ghost plant has experience is -11°C | 12.2°F. Thanks for watching James and hope you find the video useful.🥰
ery easy plant to grow. Just lay it on top of the mother plant/pot and in time, it will grow roots. Then plant it in soil. You can also put it in water and like magic, it will grow roots overnight, then plant in soil.
a friend just gave me 2 big plants that have purple/brown rosettes but they are very leggy. the whole 6 inch stems only have one rosette. can you tell what kinds they are?
Hello Ma'am LizK!🖐 I always watch your videos and I love seeing all your beautiful succulent collections. I have some and wish to propagate them too. I probably like to see more of your videos..stay safe po and God bless 😊 from Bataan po 😉
WOW!!!! WOW!!!! I never even knew there were all those different kinds that looked alike. I really only knew about graptopetalum Paraguayense and graptosedum ghosty. I'm actually quite embarrassed about that. Here in the United States a lot of people confuse the ghostie and call it California sunset. And I started with one ghost plant and I have about 60 of them now and of those 60 I'd say 57 of them were grown from a leaf propagation LOL talk about a fast easy grower! I absolutely love the graptosedum ghosty. Under my grow lights they turned purple blue pink but I can really tell them apart here because the ghostie is more yellow. But I just can't get over how big yours are. I am definitely going to plant one in the ground this summer even if I have to dig it up at the end of the season! Wow even your common succulents are absolutely amazing and I love when you show us your more common succulents ❤️❤️❤️
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK haha yes indeed they do clean up after themselves! I just can't get over how big those leaves are! Succulents are amazing and I love how I learn something new about them every single day. I'm as excited about them today as I was a very first day I fell in love with them ❤️
What's the difference?? They're all beautiful. I just bought a ghost ghosty. Lol...so can they tolerate full sun? Its finally getting warmer in Michigan. Its 65-75 degrees now.
Omg, now you really confuse me... LOL! 😄🤪 But it was great to know the differences. I didn't even know there was a ghosty until now. And don't know what one I have. 🤫
My ghost plant is growing like crazy!! Now.. its 80 -90ish temperatures in Michigan. Now I'm concerned about the cooler weather that's coming in October.
Hi Liz, Thanks so much for this ¡ Can you please do a new video comparison between Grapto Parguayense and other Ghosties and look alike hybrids So confusing! Love to you Liz ❤️💜💕
Most Echeveria, Graptoveria, Pachyveria, Graptopetalum, etc will look the same or different depending on where it's grown, how it's grown and soil it's in. So that would be an impossible video to do because there are soooo many of these plants that look similar to each other. Cheers

I’ve been waiting for you to discuss this! 😄 People are crazy right now over ghosty/ghost plant. I get asked as well on my instagram page. The real ghost plant isn’t common here and I don’t own one. So the sellers here sell ghosty as “ghost plants”. Kaloka 🤣 Nonetheless, i love both!
In my experience, GHOST Plant can be a bit boring since the color doesn't change that much. Only the shape. A lot of images online that I've seen in my opinion(wrong flower color) are actually GHOSTY(Graptosedum) and not Ghost Plant(Paraguayense).

Well, there is one thing they have in common: I don't have any of them :(
A piece of Crassua Springtime succulent broke off, how do I propagate- in water or dry till roots come out??

Unless there's a photo, I won't be able to tell and since it's leggy, it could be anything as well.
They are all so beautiful! If this was a test I would fail miserably! F- for fabulousness! LOL
