I see a catalyst for a great Nigeria. That catalyst is Lagos-Ogun development which will spread outwards towards Kwara-Kogi-Abuja and towards the East and eventually penetrating northwardly. I look forward to my vision.
This project will bring about lots of job employment and also serve the Lagos to Calabar axis. I trust the Lagos State Govt to build a world standard airport that we will all be proud of. We should all support this project. It is for the benefit of all including rhe generations to come.
Don't you want to be rich too? We are supposed to be encouraging the government for giant strides that will outlive all of us rather seeing these kind of projects as a means to degrade the country.
You are dead wrong on this erroneous assumption devoid of updated facts on recent financial and contractual agreements signed for a fast ⏩ track construction 🏗️ of the 4th Mainland bridge with structural engineering re-designs and adjustments to optimise costs factors and finances for the project. Don't be skeptical without researching validated information and facts before jumping to conclusions next time
How i wish they would study the best airpprts on the continent or even places like heathrow before laying the first brick here. Lagos needs an airport with at least 4 terminals and maybe implement dark color carpets rather than thkse white shiny tiles.
Airport is good but why such at this trying time. Necessary infrastructure we need now is for them to build structures on the Eko Atlantic City first, let people be relieved of real estate deficit and then airport upgrade can come in
What are you saying pls? Which Federal government prevents other states from access to international direct flight to other states airports? The level of misconceptions and misunderstandings by some of you is sickening and very unfortunate. Can you please give examples of state airports local or international that the federal government has prevented from functioning? FG is not travellers who patronise airports. If you as a state has an international airport and you have international travellers patronising it will the federal government stop them? Please read about state owned airports in Nigeria and know about their viability. You will understand that most of them are not viable and are still functioning because they are being sustained by the federal government. This is the same misconception you people have about seaports. Onne port in PH is working and some importers are using it but you will not ask the FG to tell people which one to use and which not.
An Airport should not be on the lekki axis . This will bring more congestion to that area and lagos . Another airport in lagos should be on the lagos Ibadan axis that is accessible to those going North , west and East of lagos . Nigerian politicians lack introspection.
Mumu man, what happened to Enugu Int'l Airport for instance? And who's exactly stopping the Governors in the SE from launching the building of more local airports with international logistics and infrastructures to compliment federal oversights or perceived marginalisation over the years?
@mandybello9276 ode werey, maybe if they make one of the eastern states Nigerian capital for 60+ years like Lagos, they might have a chance to develope rapidly while pretending they did it all by themselves like Lagos and Yoruba things
This is a state government project not a federal project. What's your stress? Just like the Blue line and Red lines. Let your state governor start his own.
Nonsense building airport way people are hungry Airport for more people to japa instead of investing in Human Resources they are investing in what the will use to carry on crimes
Really? Do yourself a favor move out of Nigeria 🇳🇬. If you already live somewhere else stay there, because you are not interested in the development of Nigeria or Africa.
*I see a new Country in Africa simply called LAGOS*
*Lagos State to become a Country of it's own*

Looking forward to my Vision 😊

Good one. Well, I hope the roads and planning of the developing areas around that area will also meet the world-class nature of this project.

Construction to begin 2024 and be completed in 2025? How will this project take just one year to build?
That's the projection from Government but with the current realities, what's on paper may not be visible on ground
Yes is in Lagos, bcoz state project not FG
Airport is good but why such at this trying time. Necessary infrastructure we need now is for them to build structures on the Eko Atlantic City first, let people be relieved of real estate deficit and then airport upgrade can come in
That's a private initiative not a government project.. Lagos state government cannot build for Chagoury and Chagoury.
Will the FG grant it unfettered access to operate direct international flights while preventing other states' owned airports from functioning?

You are talking like you don't have intelligence. When has the FG prevented any airport from functioning.
If they have population to travel international, they are free, it's all propaganda because they don't have required travelers
@@ahmedadigun1930God bless you. They allow envy and hatred to becloud their sense of reasoning

I disagree. An airport in Lekki will make it easier to connect the Lagos to Calabar road and serve many states along the axis.
Only in lagos two Air port igbos will be seleves no evein local Air port in South easth is good and fine .
is lagos building it with their money or by federal capital?

A standard international airport would cost about $3b upwards
Anything below is just gonna be another muritala Mohammed airport
Cost depends on size
@@jay51200Exactly, don't mind the comments of Mr Over Sabi 😅
Everything in Lagos they will still build 5 airport and 5 sea port
