The LNER V4s

The LNER V4s were a class of 2-6-2 engines designed by Sir Nigel Gresley. They were Gresley’s last design for the LNER, and built for mixed traffic work. Only two were built: N°. 3401, named "Bantam Cock" and N°. 3402, which was unofficially named "Bantam Hen." They were both built in 1941, and withdrawn and scrapped in 1957. A new build V4, named "Highlander," is currently under construction by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust.
