Yes, this is a great find, my grandfather had one of these, and I got to drive it quite often... light silver I think. It was incredibly peppy, and handled beautifully. It also sat nicely, by which I mean the seats didn't swallow you, they supported you. And the dash wasn't in your face... never drove anything else like it. And it was a good-looking car, nice straight lines... but not boxy, modern, but not blahs-ville. And there was nothing visibly badge-engineered about this car... this Olds 98 was an Olds 98. And yes, the 3800 was one of the best motors ever made. Oldsmobile's last triumphant appearance on the stage, followed by the death-throes of the Aurora, Silhouette, etc.
Very nice Olds. My Ex brother in law had one like that in the early 90's , it was dark blue. It was loaded top of the line. I thought it was a very cool design for the times. He and his wife always sold their cars after 2 or 3 years. He ended up buying another one that was white and not top of the line. He ways miss the dark blue Olds 98. I think your Olds 98 is a keeper.
The 1991 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Elite is my favorite car. Mom had a black body gray interior 50th Anniversary model, I had a dark blue with blue interior non 50th Anniversary model. Miss them both dearly.
Please take care of that car. Thank you for sharing and explaining your car. I own a 1996 Ninety Eight from this generation. Mine is loaded too. I have the Series II package with digital gauges and other features. The Touring Sedan Ninety Eight ended in 1993. It started in 1987 model year. It has the sport suspension as you said and bucket seats, floor shifter and other features. Please take care of your car and drive it. I like your wheels better than the ones I have that came out in 1994.
Not a fan of the color per se but have a fondness for your 98 Regency Elite. Beautiful property...seems like it would be impossible to find your property from the main road though. No street or road turnoff...just beat down leaves 😮😮😮. Im sure you probably also have wildlife galore around.
@@markeversonclassiccars Has it had the intake plenum gasket replaced? With such low miles, perhaps it's never acted up. I just realized it's a '92. I worry about check engine lights and smog certificates and live in California.
Each to their own, but in checking on the horsepower of the 1984 Oldsmobile V8 engines that were used in the 98s they only had 140hp compared to the 3800s in 1992 which had 170hp. Again, I appreciate your opinion.

Thank you for your comment. I always have loved owning cars that were fully loaded with all the options! I am with you on that!

Thank you for your comment. Sounds like you had two very nice 98s in your life!
@@markeversonclassiccars actually 3, I also had a 1995, it wasn't quite as enjoyable as the 1991.

Thank you! Yours sounds like a great car with excellent options!
Do you know if these models came with Coil springs in the rear or Air Bags?
Beautiful car.... but wow what a beautiful property you have there, Mark!
Thank you for your comment on the car and on our property!
Great cars. I own a 92 Regency 98 as a daily. And its done very well so far
Lucky you! Yes I agree with you, great cars! Thanks for commenting on this clip!
Beautiful Car, Nice color. 😎
Thank you! I agree, I like the color!
Beautiful color combination
Thank you, I agree with you. I really like the color!
This was no rebadge. Same B Body Platform but the dynamics seem different, even the doors.
Do you mean that it is unlike so many cars in the past where they shared the same body panels? If that’s what you mean, I agree with you!
Full size spare tire under the trunk floor.
I had not looked but now that you mention it, I will check it out! Thank you!

Thanks for your comment. Yes lots of wildlife there! I color grows on you!
Is this car still for sale or available? If not, what did it sell for please. Thanks. I've had two of these and looking for another.
I hadn’t sold it but I am open to selling it.

The last of the real big 98s was in 1984 when they still had V8s and real wheel drive. To me a V6 is too anemic for Olds flagship model, the 98.
Thank you for sharing your opinion.

Thats right. These are too small. Only a V6. The last real 98s were in 1984 with the plush velour interior.
Is this car for sale?
$9,800.00 is the price. Thanks for your question.
How can I Contact you, and How much do you want for it? Does it need any work and does the A/C work good?
I could call you…or do you have an email? The air needs to be charged/converted. Thanks for your interest.
How Much?
Add a eighty nine and a ninety very good cars
I swear by the 3800. Anything else is pretty much garbage.
I agree with you! I am amazed at the power of these engines!
