On July 24, 2015 I was with my mom at the hospital. My mom went home to Heaven that day. As I was driving home crying my eyes out for my mom. This was the first song I heard. Then it hit me My mom was be holding our LORD AN SAVIOUR!!! It gave me great peace in my heart knowing that my wonderful mom was in the presences of our LORD AN also my hero my father. GOD BLESS YOU!!!
I've seen David live 19 times since my father passed in 2002. Quick story, I was at a Gaither Homecoming in Columbus Ohio...my mother was a huge Gaither fan and she asked if I wanted to go to the concert. With my dad dealing with cancer at the time I knew it could be the last time I could experience a live event with my father. After the Gaither Vocal Band took the stage (to which David was the tenor of), I looked over at my dad and I said, "aren't these the guys who sing He Touched Me, etc" and he replied, "Yes, but wait until you hear that guy sing!" (Pointing to David). He then began to sing "End of The Beginning". I was blown away and it is a moment with my father and I laughing because it was so out of this world. I was hooked. 18 years later and 19 concerts later he gets better every time I see him. This man changed my life and I have my father and mother to thank. Brian i had been watching David for years after discovering him and never got the chance to see him live until this past december, and it was an experience I'll never forget. This mans heavenly voice changed my life and never fails to stir my spirit.
I was at the live taping for this "Freedom" video back in May of 2015. David’s Barn where this performance was taped was not air conditioned at the time, and it was shut up tight so that no light would infiltrate. The only time I’ve ever been in a hotter place was in a Pharoah’s tomb in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings. You can see how flushed David’s face was. He was sweating bullets, and so was the audience. But he gave the most amazing performance I have ever heard. And we, the listeners, were with him every step of the way, on our feet constantly. In the credits of the "Freedom" DVD, David thanked us for being the most amazing audience ever. That concert taping was one of the best days of my life. If you think David is good on recordings, you need to experience him live. He is also a great song-writer and arranger as well. As a bonus, David has a pretty wicked sense of humor.
I was there too. He actually said it was this taping that convinced him to finally air condition the Barn. After many boiling hot Barn Bashes, I can’t thank him enough!! 😃
Honestly I could watch you reacting to David nonstop. Your reactions are genuine and you truly realize what a talent and blessing he is. I watch your face the entire time and can see how you feel the music in your soul just as I do. I have been watching David from the very first video he did with the Gaithers which was the Hawaiian Homecoming video. I would recommend reacting to Hear My Song Lord. Oh how I wish I could sing like that for God. He has an incredible gift from God and he is using it. I can’t explain how I feel when I hear him sing about our Lord and Savior. His face glows with the anointing of God. I cannot listen to David without getting goosebumps or tears! There are not enough words to describe his voice. His voice is clean, powerful, full of Jesus, no matter what the word, no matter what the note, he sings every song with the conviction of his faith. And he is utterly humble.
David has perfect pitch and a master’s degree in voice. His concerts are nearly overwhelming. As a professional singer, I’ve appreciated his talent and ability to maneuver his 4-octave range without any breaks. More importantly, it is so easy for him to connect with the audience because David believes what he sings.

David Phelps is one of my favorite singers! He is the same on stage as he is in person. He is just a humble person. This is one of my favorite songs that he sings. Please check out him singing "Fall On Your Knees". He sings it with Charlotte Ritchie (she the backup singer in this video wearing black dress). She used to sing soprano for the gospel group "The Nelons". She has a great voice as well and her husband, Greg, usually plays the drums for David's solo projects.
If I were there when he sings this, I'm pretty sure I'd be on my knees. He's next on my bucket list to at least hear him perform. Got to meet my favorite MLF, Ott Defoe this summer. Betting God will work this one out also!!

DAVID PHELPS is AMAZING!!! No one reaches the depths of my soul the way he does. He is definitely GOD's messenger. The very best vocalist of my lifetime. He is multi- talented as he uses his gift to compose and writes many of his songs. I have been to three concerts in the last 9mos and each time came away feeling I had been transported to HEAVEN. Besides all this, he is very humble and always takes time to greet his fans. Yes, he is very very amazingly talented. He also sings Nessun dorma beautifully and classical arrangements.

The difference between David and many other great vocalist, in my opinion, is this...David sings from the heart, he is passionate about the songs that he signs, he believes totally what he is is singing about and most importantly...he lives what he sings. that puts him over the top in my eyes. I think it is his oldest son and 2 daughters sing with him Amazing Grace. I think it was in a church in Tennessee and sounds like it is his arrangement. It will give you more goose bumps. He is multi- talented as he uses his gift to compose and writes many of his songs. I have been to three concerts in the last 9mos and each time came away feeling I had been transported to HEAVEN. Besides all this, he is very humble and always takes time to greet his fans. Yes, he is very very amazingly talented. He also sings Nessun dorma beautifully and classical arrangements.
I saw him in concert a couple of years ago and his voice in the auditorium was just..... incredible! Truly a blessing to listen to him!

I met David last year after one of his shows. Being there live is amazing. In person, talking with him, he is a sweet guy with the love of the Lord on him.
He is probably the best singer I've heard. I have studied music. Try Sandy Patty she is made this song popular

I’ve watched your video reactions to David Phelps for just a short time now. Your heart-felt reaction to “Oh, Holy Night” made me cry. The difference between David and many other great vocalist, in my opinion, is this...David sings from the heart, he is passionate about the songs that he signs, he believes totally what he is is singing about and most importantly...he lives what he sings. that puts him over the top in my eyes. Best male vocalist in the world today...not even close. I know...I have seen him 11 times live.

I think it is his oldest son and 2 daughters sing with him Amazing Grace. I think it was in a church in Tennessee and sounds like it is his arrangement. It will give you more goose bumps. His tone is so pure, so true, and his pitch is perfect. Seeing him in person is truly a religious experience. I enjoy your reactions to his performances.
