Well, favorite song maybe. Linda Perry broke the band up after when the band refused to go in the direction she wanted. Instead, she quit being in a band and instead made Pink what she is today, writing and producing for Pink for years.

As I said in my comments above, I don't really fault her for this-many people who have heard this song before, don't know the actual title of the song, but recognize it as soon as she begins singing it. Perry never actually says "What's Up?" anywhere in the actual lyrics.
@@jessieball6195 I'm not sure what you're not getting here: The video's title is created after the recording is made. So titling it "1st time reaction" after reacting to a song she's definitely heard before (regardless of whether she recognised the title or not), is certainly misleading. There's nobody else to fault for this.

Hey Steph.....don't know if it's true, but I've heard Linda and the band were 'blackballed' in the '90s for being too 'controversial' ( all women and gay rights activists ).......industry moguls were able to limit their gigs and radio air play, the story goes......Linda, as noted in the comments, continued to write and did become a successful producer as well.......
