I asked him what it was and acting like I didn't know him. He was cool and let me listen, then when I told him I played but sicked he let me try it and complimented me especially as little time I was playing. Before leaving for my next flight (going to Korea for military duty.) He asked me if I wanted his autograph. I told him i was trying not to make a big deal out of who he was. He was happy with that.
I don't think most people would recognize celebrities. Usually when we see them they're either in doctored up photos or make-up for movies. Plus, you're not going to expect to run into a celebrity, they're like unicorns.
Speaking of Julio Iglesias, you really should watch him with Johnny Carson when they did a Willie Nelson song with Johnny dressed like early '80s Willie. It was fantastic and funny. Julio was having a hard time holding it together but Johnny never broke!
There was a tenant where I live who was here for about eight months. Saw her every day, talked to her many times, eventually she got evicted. A couple of weeks after my mom passed, she came by to pick up her mail and stopped me to give her condolences. I swear, I had no fucking clue who she was until I asked. Granted, I was grieving, but I couldn't believe that I had completely wiped all memory of her face at that moment. I wouldn't be shocked if I've passed by a dozen celebrities without realizing it, just never registering that I knew that face.

I met Jon Voight at a coffee shop in LA. I couldn’t name his name then but knew he was someone famous 😂. He was cool, I saw him holding a book in his hand when he was ordering his coffee. I was sitting at a nearby table and tilted my head to try to read the title of the book. He looked over at me and we locked eyes so I told him I was just trying to see what he was reading, so he walked over to me and handed me the book. I don’t remember the name now but it was something about being conservative. I was in shock cuz I obviously don’t know much about him and didn’t expect to see that in LA. But he was friendly and down to earth!
I remember the Queen of England on holiday in Scotland not being recognised on a walk, asked by American tourists to take a photo of them…..they were only told when they got back to the US.😅😅😅
